Why would he go to that **** hole when he could stay in Serbia and play for a real coach in Partizan. ;)

If he decides to play for Zeliko, it's all good.

I think Luka and Jokic are not a great fit. But they have so much talent it probably wouldn't matter. Last year Doncic was still around the 5th best player in the league despite being horrifically out of shape and taking many possessions off. He should be a perennial MVP candidate and threatening Jokic and Shai as the top player in the league.

Also the LA whistle would be a huge X factor. They wouldn't allow Caruso to mug Jokic ever play if he was in LA. That was easily the difference in the series.

Jokic would be a perfect fit on OKC or San Antonio. To a lesser degree Boston.

Jokic is out. He's gonna join Luka in LA. Pay attention to the signs people. Denver had a great off-season and he still turned down the contract.

Luka/Jokic get ready for it. Gonna be hilarious to see the Jokic fanboys have to root for the Lakers.

I would agree, but I stopped pretenting that the Lakers didn't have the best offseason, after some other thread convinced me of that. There are just no minutes for him on the Lakers since they already signed future MVP Deandre Ayton. He'd basically be the 3rd Center in their rotation if he'd go there, since Jaxson Hayes had a really good 2nd part of the season and is probably worth a few unprotected 1st rounders by himself at this point.

Lakers have not made it a secret they are making cap room for 2026.

With Jokic now verbally saying he won't sign an extension, he is fair game. You already know what time it is. 8-)

So tell that to him. I guess Jokic didn't get your memo.

Don't see him leaving but as far as a move to the Lakers (because of course that's the first thing people think of), I wouldn't want Luka near Jokic.
Why would I want to take the ball out of Jokic's hands? And Luka basically sucks off the ball.
He's not gonna run around, cut to the basket and do all the things Jokic likes.

Not the best fit, but not a great fit? They could spam the Jokic-Murray pnr/dho that they do in the clutch while having whatever combination of 3 & D specialists in the league and zombie walk to the chip. How do you guard that? If you have 2 of the top 5 players in the league, it usually means blouses. Would be this generation’s Shaq & Kobe.

Jokic decided not to take 80 million dollars less than what he'll get if he waits until next summer? Absolutely shocking development.

Seems like nothingburger more than anything else. Of course he's going to re-sign there, but he wants the max he can get. And all this talk about the Lakers is just fluff and nonsense.

Its smart to wait. He can get more money and can lit a fire under his FO to actually make some moves like they just did. If things go south he can always bolt and if they improve or keep winning he can sign a fatter contract.

Its literally stupid for Jokic to sign an extension now.
