Not for nothing DSJ turned himself into a helluva defender, maybe a camp invite, but don’t see him on the team, unless there’s some type of consolidation trade happening

Yea as much as I want him here, I don’t know how he will even get a spot with all of the guards. Maybe the Knicks are just doing him a solid and will give him a camp invite or something.

That's more the point. Getting rid of Brogdon, reducing Deuce's role, and giving up on Kolek is a lot of accommodation for Smith. Clarkson is also 6'3".

I think it's an agent favor to get his name out there.

I thought Macri made a good point about DSJR in their last pod discussion the possibility of trading Kolek. Having a 3rd defensive point guard that can give you a different look than your first 2 DSJR could a similar thing to what Delon Wright did last year. If he can come in and play lockdown defense for a few mins that could change a game completely. That could be a lane for him to make the roster.
