Surely there’s a turnaround game in them, right? The Franz situation is puzzling. I feel like too much freedom is being given to these guys. Not enough intention.

Feels like we’ll either win, or they drop 150 on us. No in-between.

No Suggs (who has not been good on the road trip). I want to see Mosley start Tristan and then have Goga start for Wendell.

I don't see any reason to think there's some Paolo/Franz rift...just give Franz the ball and call him whatever position you want. He's proven to be the best primary initiator since he got here. Paolo is still the unstoppable offensive force - but it's more realistic to have him adjust and benefit from not being the primary initiator. I'd love to see Paolo develop into a constant triple-double threat someday - but not today. I really wish he'd develop more of a low post game and routinely grab 10+ rebounds. Bane and Suggs can shoot open 3's at a very high volume.

I don't know what to say about C...WCJ looked really good in the playoffs, primarily as a violent rebounder and switchable defender but I'm really unclear on what the right center for this team looks like. Maybe it is him, maybe totally different kind of player like Kessler or Sexton. Goga is really limited and up and down (probably in part to unclear roles and playing time).

If they get blown out tonight...Mose could be on really thin ice. I don't think the org has the stomach to be patient after finally throwing all of their chips in this summer. I'd rather he worked out, as I really think he's a great persona, but if they announced Malone next week - I'd get it.

there is no rift, this is just the coaching staff trying something different....franz usage is down but paolo usage is down as well i believe....but that should be expected to an extent with Bane and Suggs back but not to this extent imo

Thank you, Killmonger, agreed.

This board is all over the place, making up narratives left and right.

They're figuring stuff out. Players and coaches. They understand the urgency. We don't have to make it a bigger deal than it is.

It's the first week of the NBA season. It's always up and down. You all know this but you decide in the moment that you don't.

The '09 Finals team lost their first two games, remember.

This year's WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces were 12-13 before rattling off a 16-game winning streak at the end of the season and into the playoffs before winning it all.

We're good! We're going to be okay!

No Suggs, please play Jase then. Hoping we see a lot of TDS and minimal Penda and Jett.

Just had to look up who Charlottes starting C was?! Anyhow, Congrats to the Kalkbrenner kid for having a career night against WCJ tonight.

He shot mostly the same in the playoffs except for 40+% from 3. It's what, a 12 game sample of 40% 3 point shooting? If he can't show any signs of bringing a fraction of that 3 point shooting into regular season games why should we even take it into consideration as anything but an abberation?

He looks uncomfortable shooting wide open 3s, always has. Building an offense around that kind of player is difficult unless they are Giannis or Shaq. He's gotta shoot better. I think he can, but he still has never shown it outside of 12 playoff games where his TS% is still 53.7 despite 40+ from deep.

Franz is questionable, I’ll be surprised if he doesn’t play. If he gets downgraded to doubtful, then he’ll be out.
