It’s a tough matchup for us because they play physical defense and we struggle with that at times. Also they’re one of the teams the refs cheat for and let them hack all game long. So that’s what they need to adjust for, if possible

Physical is boxing out. Physical is not moving when someone tries to post you up. Physical is setting hard screens and not budging. Orlando (at least in the first game against the Knicks) was dirty/cheap, not physical. Almost every play, the refs COULD have called a foul on Orlando during the first game, that's dirty/cheap - but the Knicks will have to adjust.

They play dirty. They get away with it for some reason. ORL/DET/MIA/CHI/PHI all play dirty. Pushing off. Moving/illegal screens. Purposely putting feet in the landing area. Lots of contact and no whistle.

To your point though, we need to just punch them in the mouth early and slug it out. We need a more physical/metal bats approach. We lost that with the KAT trade. I don't see the all grit no quit mentality we used to have.
