the 3RL60 must really be a good system, since people seem almost proud of their stu.. err.. commitment to it.. If my system died on me, and I got another one, and it died again, that'd be it. I can't fathom having to say a prayer everytime I turn my videogame on.

Get the PS3. Better hardware, blu ray (the future is blu, lol) and, as of lately, GAMES!!! look at what games are coming out in 2008 for the ps3, and for the x360...

Well, best of luck.

Transfer your hard drive into the new system you purchased. All your saves etc. are on the hard drive. The system frying will not set you back.

On another note, I will purchase the busted system off you. Have a mod PM me if you're interested.

The only reason to buy a 360 is if you're a Halo fanatic. The PS3 has BluRay (HD-DVD is dead) free online play, built in wifi, and a bigger hard drive you can upgrade anytime you want by taking out a couple screws. If you are a Halo fanatic you can get UT3 on the PS3 which is a very similar game but it looks better and you can download free upgrades (mods)

Keep in mind Microsoft still hasn't fixed the red ring problem. If you go out and buy a brand new 360 it's just as likely to break as your old one was. If I was you I'd buy a PS3, send my 360 in for repair, and sell it.

Not it isn't.

I've played Madden and NBA 2K8 for example, on both the PS3 and the XB 360, and are games are MUCH better on the 360 than on the PS3 from personal preference.

Everyone will have their personal preferences, one way or another....

or you could buy a 360 for its great game selection.

last year had halo 3, mass effect, bioshock none of which were on the ps3/ps2/wii. this year we have alan wake, too human, halo wars. were also getting a punch of games ported from the computer to be 360 exclusive

Even with my current system, the 4th unit I've gone through in less than 2 years.
