i still think we should get Reggie Miller out of retirement (Spike could get him to do it) and come back and be the starting SF for the Knicks and the savior for the team. Have him come back and rebuild the team he helped destroy.

And then we bring in Hakeem to teach Eddy Curry how not to be a fat piece of **** and get somebody to teach David Lee how to use his confidence and demand the ball more when he is in the game.

Sign me up for Sammy. If we can get rid of Curry, Dally next to Z-Bo would be gold...

That won't improve our interior D much. Instead of being decent on man-to-man and putrid at help D, we'll be decent on help D, and putrid man-to-man. I'd rather take a flyer on the next solid bigman in the draft than give up assets for Dalembert.

there are a lot better options out there than Dallembert right now.

as upsetting as it might be the Nets and bulls are the perfect trade partners.

Both are stockpiled with defensive bigs and both are desperate for post scoring.

I think both teams would consider Randolph even though his value is low right now.

But dont get greedy. i can see it already. For Zach, since we clearly suck with him, we wont get a lot back.

From NJ Id expect something like Boone, collins and a 2nd rounder though to make it work cap-wise we'd have to get very creative and perhaps use that rumored Seattle trade exception or something silly.

From Chi Id expect a Zach for ben swap might actually work. And Id do that in a flash. But since they want to move down the salary ladder to resign Deng and gordon we'd likey have to open it up to somethign like Zach, Jones, Collins and Rose for Ben and Noicoini. Or somethign like that. Which might be too much, or not.

even something nuts like Clev, Den or Mia would work.

Who wouldnt jump at swapping Zach for Gooden and Jones, or nene and filler, or Hasleem and filler?

anyone who actually watches Drew Gooden, Nene, or Udonis actually play.
Which one is a great interior defender again? And which one can rebound better than Zach.

If everyone has a problem with Zach shooting so much, then get a coach that will talk to him about it. It is clear Zach actually wants to win unlike Curry, Marbury, etc... if he is told it is best for the team for him to only avg 10 shots per game then he will do it.

I would love Ben Wallace, but honestly i feel sad to say it, but Dalembert sadly might be a better player than him now.

The answer is Darko, and pairing him up with Lee while somehow managing to get Mike Miller as well.

C-Darko
PF-Lee
SF-Miller
SG-Crawford
PG-OJ Mayo, Derrick Rose, or Collison

I live in Philly and have seen a lot of Dalembert. He's wildly inconsistent both offensively and even defensively. He gets a lot of his block shots by leaving his man weak side, so if he doesn't block the shot, his man is in position for the offensive rebound. Plus, offensively, he thinks he's much more potent that he is and ends up taking a lot of real silly looking shots. I know he's an big improvement over Curry defensively, but I think I'd rather just stop this rollercoaster of bad contracts and start over.

how bout we just stop trying to play a lineup with a Center until we find one that is actually a legit 7 footer.

it is the freaking East, just hire some GM from a top Euro club, get him to **** over his old team and bring some of the Euro players over here and rebuild that way.

Have a Euro style GM with a defensive minded coach that can whip them into playing a fusion of beautiful basketball with the American bruise and rape you defensively style.

As improbable as I think it is, I would love to get Darko and Miller on this team, but I'd want to pair them up with the passing version of Zach.

Like I said, improbable

i am a fan of Zach because of his desire to win. If he actually thought it was in the best interest of this team he would pass instead of shoot. He is the Kobe Bryant of the PFs, he just wants to win.

I'd rather have a triple teamed Zach Randolph take the shot than anyone on our roster outside of a wide open Nate Robinson.

ohno you didnt.

ben = leader
ben = NBA champ
ben = recent DOY winner
ben = smart, great motor and able to make key plays

Dally = lazy
Dally = career loser
Dally = totally inconsistant
Dally = no selfmotivation

its not all about age

Uh, Udonis is an excellent defender. Neither Gooden or Nene are great but they are both far better than Zach.

But most of all the point is that these are team players! Players who work within a system, not players who need a system built around them. Players who could compliment Curry and co. Unlike Zach apparently. though I still feel its Isiah's inability to mesh them more than Zach's poblem or Curry's problem

well sure but there is no interest in Mem in moving Darko, as Ive heard at least.

might as well talk about chandler

I agree with you about Zach. He is just a baller, and you can tell he just has a passion for the game. There was a time this season, granted it was only a few games, where he started passing more out of the high post in an attempt to get Eddy going. When he saw that wasn't working so much, he went back to chucking.

I'd rather have a triple teamed Zach Randolph take the shot than anyone on our roster outside of a wide open Nate Robinson.
So would he, but we can't think like that. Whether or not he has a better chance of putting up 2 pts doesn't mean he should be allowed to stagnate the offense. It might get us a bucket, but it does things to team morale and chemistry.[/quote]

except that kobe plays d and motivates his teamates - who hate him probably more than Zach's do - to work harder and improve.

No I won't. I saw Sammy play in college before you were a teen. The kid is defensive minded and a hard worker. Bring him and Ronny over and the Knicks will have two hard working haitians in the starting 5. Both of them hard nose defenders. I've also seen 76'ers games. The kid is overpaid I will admit but what does that matter to the Knicks? It's not like we can't eat the contract

exactly!!

And the philly execs say they don't see a big man in the draft as good as dalembert? LOL.. where have I heard that before...

No there may not be a big man better, but there are like 10 guys at other positions that are clearly better at their positions, than dalembert is at center...

NO THANKS!!!
