The Devils don't need Brodeur to win this game. They are a good enough team to beat the Isles.

Of course, if they rest everyone else, then it's a different story...

The Isles are playing on the road and know what's at stake. Ted Nolan knows Lou and this club wont mail them to the two points and tickets to the first round. The Isles have been picking it up of late and the fact that the Devils aren't playing Marty, is a huge advantage for the Isles. Positive, that Ryan Smyth and company are going to come out hard for this one. The Devils are entering a game against a different team then the one they faced in their last 6 meetings.

This is just like last year when the Leafs were up against the Sens. The Sens have lambasted the Leafs all year, but the Leafs entered that game with their playoff lives in jeopardy and the Sens didn't have much to play for. Final out-come: 5-1, Leafs. As much as I want Jersey to come out on top in this one, you can't help but stress.

does anyone think the fact that the Isles are playing two in a row could affect anything?

Hopefully :)

Not sure if fatigue will be a factor when there's this much at stake. They've had the rest of the evening off yesterday to fly to Jersey. Plus, not sure how much of a work-out the Flyers are :P

But I was thinking the exact same thing....

Not much of a hockey fan.. but just wondering why you guys are cheering for Islanders? Again, I'm not a hockey fan so I have no idea.

How mad would Habs fans be if the Devils tie the game with seconds left?
