I think you have it mistaken. Drob is the freak of freaks. The man was a complete freak of nature and put up ridiculous stat lines (one of four people ever to record a quadruple double). The responses in this thread are what I expected, most guys pick the guy with more rings. Robinson was the better player statistically and could not be stopped in his prime. I doubt Timmy wins a ring during Hakeem and Mj's era either. I'm gonna take Drob.

This is a cop-out. Yeah, DRob put up some freakish stats, but he was so limited as a player. Duncan's main advantage is the fact that he has a legitimate post game. Admiral faced up a lot more, and he was really good at it, but in the playoffs when adjustments are constantly being made Robinson started having trouble.

The wierd thing is if the Admiral had more passion for basketball he would have been an absolute beast. I've never seen a player with his size and athleticism, and that includes Dwight Howard.

I can see how this argument can be made. Drob's weakness was his post game, but he was still extremely effective scoring 27 ppg in his prime on great percentages. Some big man really dont need a post game like Amare and Bosh because their face up game is just that good. I believe Drob has the 3rd or 4th highest PER ever as well. He probably is the most underrated player in the past 20 years imo. For people to take Duncans prime easily is a joke.

David was definitely the more talented player..****, he was more talented than MOST players in NBA history IMO..obviously you have to take Duncan though..The Admiral's flaws were more apparent, and they hurt more..his lack of a dominant post game, and his inability to perform at his usual standards in playoff time..obviously he lacked a supporting cast for most of his time, and he might be the most underrated superstar player of all-time..
