I heard Miami offered Beasley and fillers. That would be a much better deal. I really think the Suns should just stay put and try to keep Amare unless they get a real good offer.

yeah, i don't know why the Suns wouldn't jump on that - unless the fillers are long, guaranteed contracts.

Now that I think about it, what can Otis do realistically? We are full of bad contracts and we are not in play for any of the big names. Our only realistic trade partner is Chicago...

If the suns realistically don't expect Amare to resign, than getting anyone is a plus for them. Even if that plus is only JJ Hickson, it's still better than Amare leaving for nothing. It will seem like a lopsided trade though and I might stop watching the NBA.

Ill be dissapointed if the Cavs or Celtics get better at the deadline. Right now I think we can beat both teams in a 7 game series. However if the Cavs get someone like Amare idk. The C's would be interesting because Ray Ray brings so much to that team, hell we would ahve been playing the Bulls in Round 2 last yr had it not been for Ray Allen being clutch as hell for them.

that's pretty decent. if they're hitting shots then they could challenge most of the elite teams on any given night.

Would probably be;

Kidd
Butler
Marion
Dirk
Haywood

I will be dissapointed if the Cavs get Amare and Celtics get Jamison and we stand pat, if those teams get those players I think Otis should make a move. If Cavs or C's don't get those players we stand pat.

Fran's rights could become valuable this time around and Turk's TPE (which I think we'll def explore using if Cle or Bos trigger a deal that makes them "better" and more of a threat.)

Otis is always trying to make this team better and might make a move especially if they do something.

Were going to hear a bunch of things that will cause some to panic like the Cavs and Celtics rumors but a rumor is just a rumor for now but after the Gasol deal a few years ago, everyone is worried both will get something for free.

Even though I believe games are won on the court, you have to wonder if the result of last season's NBA Finals would have been different had the Gasol deal never happened.

For now, we have to hope they do not significantly upgrade and prehaps the Magic would do something to counter.

The usual suspects like Brandon Bass, the TPE (Almost 7 mill) Vazquez's draft rights, Anthony Johnson (Expiring) could be in deals.

We will have to wait and see what happens.

In Otis we trust.

Geez, what a great deal for Dallas.

At least it's not one of our eastern conference rivals getting Butler. But there's still Jamison and Amare available.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Man, Dallas is looking real potent if this trade goes through. It's a shame though, they could've really used a Brandan Haywood 4-5 years ago, but hey better late than never. They can still make one last run at it with Dirk still in his prime.

Kidd
Butler
Marion
Dirk
Haywood

That's a pretty versatile lineup on both sides of the ball. Ugh.

I like this move from Dallas, on paper they certainly look like they'll be able to make some noise. The firesale will probably continue with Twan being sent to Boston. Wiz have a team option for Howard next year so they can potentially have ~31 million come off the books next year. They could actually sign another max player and a ~10 mil player to team up with Arenas and for Flip. Add a lottery pick and they're going to be dangerous.

My dream last night:

Brandon Bass was traded for Kirk Hinrich straight up (I don't know how this happened).

I have an idea!!!

Magic Trade Brandon Bass, JJ Redick, Johnson
Suns Trade Amare Stoudamire

JJ fits the Suns style of play and Bass can play PF. His midrange game will work in Phoenix. They also get Johnson's expiring.

Magic Trade Marcin Gortat
Houston Trades Shane Battier

Houston gets their center and the Magic get another defender to throw at Lebron and a good 3 point shooter.

Magic trades TPE
Bulls trade Hinrich

Bulls get additional cap for their 2010 FA hopes.

Magic line up:

Hinrich/Nelson/Williams
Carter/Pietrus/Barnes
Lewis/Battier/Barnes
Amare/Lewis/Anderson
Howard/Amare

Get it done Otis!!
Disclaimer: I just had a dream and pull those trades out of my ass and have no idea if salaries match
