I don't even know who I will be rooting for this FIFA World Cup, this is a first time I do not have a team I like to root for. My country didn't make it, so close

and France do not have Zidane so I doubt I'll root for them.

i think Argentina FA is not stupid enough to leave Maradona in total control of the team at this point. little birdie tells me Maradona more or less there for sentimental reasons and in fact Carlos Bilardo takes care of most of the managerial duties.

even with Maradona, i think Argentina has to be right behind Spain and Brazil when it comes to being a favorite. we know the talent is there and players might very well mesh together in a stage like world cup.

1. Spain
2. Brazil
3. Germany
4. Argentina in that order. Germany don't look that good but they have a history of making something happen in big tourneys.
