Lin makes $9,000 a game. Melo makes 225,000, Chandler in the +200,000 range.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
ONE-CITY WONDER: Amid the celebration of Paul Pierce passing Larry Bird for second place on the Boston Celtics' scoring all-time list, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said what should not be overlooked is how Pierce has stayed in one place his entire career. "I do like it when guys just say, 'You know what? This is my team. I'm going to make this better. I’m going to stick it out,' " Rivers said, pointing to similar single-city commitments from Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade. "I love when I see that. So I think you'll still see some, but not as many, clearly. . . You know, Dwyane Wade has added some friends, but he's never left Miami."
Saw this in an article (phone erased history... Can't find URL or I'd post sorry!)
I guess Doc figures the celtics aren't in the race and hopes Dwight doesn't team up with anyone lol.
Dwight respects doc though so maybe this will help our case

^^ what Doc fails to acknowledge is that Pierce and Bryant have been in teams with basketball cultures. It was a matter of time that they started winning again when they sucked.
call it a hunch, but I have a feeling that ORL will somehow end up with Bargnani and Ellis with a gutted team when it is all said and done. That means Ryno, JJ, Nelson, JRich, etc will be gone

"Aaron Gordon will cost Henny's job by Dec 2016." Predicted Dec 2014.
"O'Quinn will have a longer and more successful NBA career than Nicholson." Predicted Jun 2012. Verified on Dec 2014.

More likely that he blows something up instead...

I agree but my original statement/question still stands though.

J-Rich has definitely increased his trade value the past week or so

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
We are maxed out on the roster. Gotta move some guys Mar 1st. We need Davis to have a stretch of good games here so he can be moved.

for what reason? his best attribute was using his athletic ability to get into the lane. He doesnt have that same ability anymore.

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
Team needs? Let's just use PER for a simplistic analysis:
Bona fide All-Star: 22.5> Dwight Howard 24.3; Ryan Anderson 22.8
Borderline All-Star: 20.0
Solid 2nd option: 18.0
3rd Banana: 16.5
Pretty good player: 15.0> J.J. Redick 15.9; JRich 15.3
In the rotation: 13.0> Von Wafer 12.8; Hedo Turkoglu 12.7
Scrounging for minutes: 11.0
Definitely renting: 9.0> Jameer Nelson 9.7; Chris Duhon 8.5; Glen Davis 7.5; Earl Clark 7.4; QRich 6.6
The Next Stop: DLeague 5.0
We are looking for a 3rd banana, and we've either got a lot of players underperforming or on very bad contracts.

I only agree cause he's my favorite player ever. but, he's probably only a little bit better than Duhon at this point in his career... since his name is sexy enough for Stan, he might push Duhon out of the rotation, that's a HUGE plus.
