Bogut for Josh straight up....BOOM. There you go. A Superstar still young and approaching his prime.

Simple deal.

lol @ josh smith being labelled as a superstar. Bogut gives you so much more than Smith on the basketball court.

Yep the Hawks are good because of Jeff Teague's dominance.

I understand trading Bogut, but can't you rebuild with Bogut there too? Just put rookies and Anthony Goldwires around him.

What is the point? Bogut will be over 30 by the time we can conceivably have a good team and then what?

Oh, and if you're going to trade Bogut, you better just dump as many assets as possible. At that point, what do you have to lose? I always figured that if this team decided to dump Bogut, it should start a domino effect where you're dealing all of your assets in order to go young.

I'd like to keep Ersan, though I know I'm in the minority on that.

If we deal Bogut in a win now move or anything short of a top 5 lotto pick, this will be me (figuratively) [img]http://x818.com/nevverimages/suicide577.jpg[img][/img][/img]

i will laugh if we don't get a center back in the deal. Brockman at the 5! That's how it's done.

EDIT: yes i know Gooden has been playing at C. but after looking for a backup center all year....

I didn't say those were great deals for us. The point was to illustrate lotto teams that would do deals for Bogut. And to El dudes comment, yes New Orleans would easily give up Kaman and what looks to be the 14th pick in the draft for Bogut assuming the pick is top three protected. That is good value for New Orleans.

Wickett said Gery told him two lotto teams willing to trade pick. Wickett happy to deal him for mid first.

Said broke down grinding center not a guy to help Bucks right now. They need new core of athletic players.

A mid first would be an idiotic deal.

(Yes Grendon I know you disagree)

Trades I could see Hammond making if in fact, two lottery teams are interested in Bogut

Bucks and Kings
Bucks get: Garcia, Hayes and 2012 1st

Bucks and Pistons
Bucks get: Gordon and 2012 1st

Bucks and Jazz
Bucks get: Harris, Bell and 2012 1st(what ever is higher of their two picks(top 3 protected))

I'll withhold judgment on any Bogut deals until one actually goes down. I will repeat what I posted a few weeks ago - the anti-Bogut sentiment is growing stronger and stronger within the team. I'm fine with trading Bogut for a few reasons (none performance related really) but the anti-Bogut vibe is baffling to me on a number of levels. My take - and this is only my take - is that Bogut is being blamed for much of what is wrong with this team in an effort to protect/isolate Jennings from blame, thereby coddling him more and hoping he doesn't want to leave.

Again, that is just my take based on things I've heard.

I do know there are a few teams which are expressing interest in The Ultimate Teammate. It would not surprise me if Hammond was trying to broker a deal involving him and Bogut together.
Nothing will not break me.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. Wait a minute here. Pressey in the trade thread a few weeks ago didn't allow us to make bogut deals because he said it's not possible. Pressey should be fired!

Bogut and Jennings for Curry, Biedrins, Klay.

I'm a big fan of yours Europa, but that just doesn't make sense. Jennings plays in 90% of our games and is our closest all star. Bogut has played in less than 50% of our games the last three years and has never lived up to his promise. To say this is coddling Jennings is to turn your head on the failure that Andrew Bogut has become...And I like Bogut.

Again, Utah can't trade their own pick until after the season because Minnesota owns it if Utah makes the playoffs.

Also, there's no reason whatsoever for Utah to protect GS's pick because GS already protected it. GS keeps it if it's top-7 this year. Utah can trade that pick to the Bucks, but there's a risk that it will end up being protected the next 2 years, after which time it becomes 2 2nd-rounders (ugh). I think it will be in the 9-12 range, but you have to be aware of the risks there.

:o Wowzers. I'm no mathematician but Bogut has played in 146 of a possible 203 games the past 3 seasons including this one - or about 72% of possible games. That number will go down a little more over the next couple of weeks, but not that much. Less than 50%? Have you been getting your statistics from Woelful?
