I like Gray and this is a fair price to pay for a centre with legitimate size who isn't a total stiff. That being said, he should only start against teams with a legitimate low post centre. Amir should be starting with Bargs in every other case.

How in the world does this guy still have a job? It also amazes me how Bob McCown uses him for his basketball updates. Everybody in TO Media is so clueless

Amazing, considering Omer Asik is making about 4-5 times as much and is maybe twice as good.

I think this sums up Doug Smith pretty succinctly.

It's not like it was old info that could be taken out of context. It was a couple of days ago!

Love the price, would have wanted the 2nd year to be an option, to preserve cap space next year, but at this price, i cant complain too much.

Bargs with his mobility, base, and size is an ideal centre (in today's NBA)... but unfortunately he doesn't rebound and play help D. So... as a result, we settle for this.

you want to play him at 5 just out of spite? he's clearly better at 4 not sure the problem now that bosh is gone

BC catering so much he drafted bargs with a 6 time allstar playing his position taking his highpost spots on the court, who doesn't compliment bargs weakness at all, then when bosh is gone he uses all his draft picks and cap and trades to bring in wings and guards and spends nothing on a center to compliment bargs game until like 7 years later he drafts jonas

such a caterer

I just think he'd create more matchup problems at the 5. but he doesn't rebound so yea.."he's better at the 4".

I think one big thing against bargs vs other C, he has no Vert.... esp standing vert....
he only has running vert.

He'll be signed once everyone else is, since they are using the 'space' exception on him. The coversations are basically BC telling his agent how long he'll be waiting.

BC is playing a legal game since even verbal agreements can be charged to cap space after the moratorium ends. If he came out and said we have a deal with gray, it would be charged to our cap space immediately.

Omer asik is a great defender/shot blocker and supposedly/statisticly makes your defence a lot better. Grey? Not so much. I mean that's the basic logic right there, is it true? Probably imo.

Solid backup C.

Look Jonas is going be a foul mecahine for at least a good part of next season- between Grey & amir we have at least a serviceable 5 spot.

He improved a bit as the season went on. Good cheap signing for a C.
