They're also delusional as hell.

Every single time I'm on that board I end up on the floor laughing.

Man, I have to say it again before I hit the sack. If Rose really did practice in front of Melo, that dude is a team player. He has that mentality that he needs to bring it all on the court, give his opponents no advantage---for him to drop his guard like that on account of the FO and Fans, that's amazing. #POINTGOD #UNICORN.

To be honest, I'm not buying the story that Rose was working out for Melo. The reporter was probably just embellishing on the fact that Rose was at the UC working out.

Some night time reading:

Oh Those Precious Knicks Fan wrote:your team sucks on offense. PERIOD. Not even Melo can fix that. You basically run the same **** we were running under Woody which was P&R and Iso's ...AKA nothing.

Your team won't make it out of the second rd...WITH OR WITHOUT MELO

The difference with the Knicks is that we have his money, cap space coming and an actual system that has won how many championships again?

When Thibs leaves next year they will drop. Noah is 30, Rose is Penny Hardaway. In two years that team will be broke up. They already started by getting rid of Deng.
Melo better open his eyes to that roster. They simply have been getting over on the east the past two years. But guess what? The east is getting better and that's pure truth. They won't get past the Pacers or Heat. Put your foot on what I'm saying. They peaked already.

After the Bulls gut the roster to add Melo to 3 other players it's not the team that it was last season.... so this narrative is utter bullisht just like the idea that the Bulls are getting Melo at a discount is, too.

The Knicks team being retooled under Jax is better fitting, it also has a system that works to win titles and a coach that played in that system to a bunch of titles so 'adding' Melo to this team is not the same team as last season either.
Scottie Pippen's response to whom he would pick for his running mate, Michael or LeBron: "That's a dumbass question. I've never done anything with LeBron. I wouldn't take LeBron to the movies."

Why would Rose be working out in the UC and not the Berto Center or somewhere where there wouldn't be a media hoopla?

Especially at the same time he coincidentally is joining in on a meeting with Melo.

From the fact he had his kicks and stuff in hand at the same time period tells it all, really.

I'd speculate he decided to work out at the UC on that particular day because he knew Melo would be there. He figured he would kill two birds with one stone. Show up a few hours before Melo to get his workout in, which if I understand correctly fits with the timeline of his arrival, then pop in to meet with Anthony before heading out with his workout gear still on.

Just guessing.

Apparently running the triangle offense is going to lead to multiple championships as well.

(We'll just ignore the fact that if that was truly the case, then everyone would be doing it.)

Thibs was already running the triangle offense on some possessions when DJ wasn't on the floor.

I doubt they'd use LEDs for a stand still shot - right? I could be wrong, still it looks awesome.

This seems like a fair trade that's plausible.

Is that a new thing where they'll post other Bulls players, Blackhawks players, and Barnum and Baily signs during the year?

CBS7 wrote:It's kind of weird. I've seen way more people throw #16 and #19 into trade proposals than I have seen people throw McDermott. It's harder now that we have a name to get attached to.

Could be that a lot of people didn't expect that to turn into McDermott, I definitely didn't think the Nuggets were going to give us 11 for 16/19 in that draft.

Loving the vibe and all the reports today. Obviously that could change as soon as tomorrow as he has more meetings. This offseason is absolutely nerve wrecking so far.

I will say, as much as I want Melo - I would absolutely hate to lose Butler in the process. My favorite Bulls player and love the way he carries himself on and off the court. The huge pull (for me anyway) of landing Melo, is he would have the defensive schemes of Thibodeau, along with Noah, Taj, and Butler surrounding him. And he would be huge in taking pressure off of Rose
I beg to differ

Hokie wrote:Agreed. The nonsense that has been said about Rose over the last few days has been so beyond over the top. To be frank, it's been embarrassing.

But it wasn't baseless. Rose spelled it out that he won't recruit. In this era, that's not doing everything it takes to weeun. Maybe Noah changed his mind, I don't know. But it would be disingenuous to claim that the way Rose went hard after Melo today was predictable. The context at which Rose stated (at least twice) that recruiting wasn't his job, was when he was asked whether or not he will recruit. It's also not out of the realm of possibilities that the media questioning his recruiting was part of the reason he did an about face. His earlier statements are not consistent with what he did today.

And I think it's incredibly admirable that he went to bat for the team, after what he said.

At the same time his comments about Melo in that Yahoo article sounded an awful lot like recruiting.

Saying he loved his game, loved his heart. Said he could play with anyone, ect ect

He may be saying publicly that he doesn't recruit, but no doubt his camp was telling Melo to get his ass to Chicago.

I'm going to echo some others and say that I'm really proud of how the Bulls (FO and players) all stepped up today. Just looking at the pics, it was impressive. I'm not really sure why, it just was. The key players really seemed to rally for the cause. There was a serious vibe about it too, which felt appropriate.

Not gonna predict, but feels like we do have a shot.

Return to Chicago Bulls
