Apple TV can stream a display via AirPlay, but I find the audio lag a bit too much. I rarely use it, though I probably haven't done it too often.

If your computer and internet connection are up to speed, I have no problems with any type of lag with Chromecast 90% of the time though there are exceptions.

The bucks app really needs a minute lag before sending out scores. Nothing is more frustrating streaming the final minute waiting for the final play and getting an alert saying they either won or lost.

It's much easier to pair it with a chromecast. 35 "Bucks" and you're set. Open up a fox sports go on your browser, use the cast extension, and you're ready to rock without having to mess around with any cables. HDMI Cables are like 2013 man.
I have an Apple TV. I'm assuming that will work as well?
Can Apple TV cast a tab through a browser or anything like that? I'm not an Apple guy so I don't know for sure. From my experience using it, it was more or less limited to available apps. FoxSportsGo doesn't support a lot of media players (moreso tablet, laptop, and phone viewing), which is why I prefer chromecast if a streaming service isn't available on that respective player be it Roku, AppleTV, or directly through Chromecast. The ability to stream something on a laptop (legally or not, wink and stuff) and throw the tab on your TV gives you a lot more flexibility.
I'll give Chromecast a shot then. Those are usually pretty cheap.

That's a big problem with technology and social media in general. Maybe my biggest problem I have with it. Unless I'm sitting down to watch a satellite or cable broadcast, I'm going to be behind my social media and apps. It bothered the hell out of me when I would be watching MLB.tv, a service I paid for, and Twitter or an app would update me on the 3rd out of an inning or a home run or scoring play (anything, really) a full minute before I watch it.
I love Twitter. It makes watching sports feel like a community thing. But I would literally pay for a service that delays the timeline to whatever you want whenever you want.

That's actually a really really good idea for an app.

Every six months or so I search for something like that, and I never find one. You're telling me someone couldn't build an app with a setting or field that lets you delay your feed for a set number of seconds?

I feel like it's something that would hit the market, probably slowly gain a substantial userbase for niche interests, primarily sports, and then be purchased by a larger company to simply integrate into their own application. There are android apps specifically that need permission to gain control of your notifications (lock screen replacements most of the time), so I feel like it's something that's certainly possible and probably not all that difficult without rooting or running a system level control like xposed.

Hypothetically if someone lived in another state and used the log in provided from someone who lives in MKE for Fox sports go app then they would get Bucks, Brewers, etc, correct?

Not entirely sure. The app does use your location services to determine what should be available in your area.

Ah, gotcha. Sounds like probably not then. Hypothetically I should tell this person to try anyway and report back. You know, in case anyone else is wondering.

Hypothetically, I live in NY state & watched the Tigers broadcast out of Detroit last night on FoxSportsGo (note that my folks live in the U.P.).

My friend in Chicago suburbs watches Bucks on Fox Sports Go with my login.

Dammit people. These aren't even illegal streams. Why haven't we had this conversation before?

I downloaded the app on my phone and watched a couple of minutes of one of the Bucks game on it. The picture quality was great.
We did 16 months ago on page 4. Nobody else cared. I'm pretty sure I helped someone who was having trouble with it in a game thread as well.

So I don't have cable and I use my friends log in's on apple TV for most everything. I have subscriptions to Hulu and Netflix. That's it.
I love it. Only problem with streaming is the non DVR functionality. Other than that. It's A-okay in my book.

Never heard of that. The $29.99 package looks pretty good. It's $10 more than Sling's basic package, but there's probably $10 worth of additional channels for me to consider. Do you need a PS4 to use it? I am not a gamer, but still have a PS3 laying around somewhere.
No you dont need a Playstation, a guy that I work with is running it on dumb TVs with an amazon fire stick. He had sling and says that the vue comes thru much clearer, can be run on up to 5 devices and has dvr. My uverse is up at the end of the month and i am thinking of making the switch. He said that they are trying to add FSWI and BTN right now and that would pretty much seal the deal for me.
Wow. This is getting even better. If they added FSNWI and BTN I might be a customer for life. That would pretty much include every channel I NEED.

Does anyone have any experience with Android boxes? I'm still looking around but I have read a lot of good things about this one:

Can't believe I missed this before. Watching the Bucks today and have a new appreciation for a certain relative.

If you're thinking about ditching cable and are a little bit tech savy, research Kodi before you buy anything.
