At the end of the day, other stars aren't flocking to play with Lebron.

Magic sucked at his job long before LeBron came to town, but by all means, tell us how it's all lebron's fault.

dude, you never miss a chance to defend LeBron.

If people didnt have so many bad takes about him I wouldn't have to. Magic was bad at his job. He was bad at his job before LeBron came to the Lakers. He was bad at his job after LeBron signed with the Lakers. Any realgm poster knows that the key to success is surrounding LeBron wth shooters. Magic did the opposite of that. Now the Lakers have a chance at success if they make a good hire.

Good, after this absolute shambles of a season he should stand down.

Pelinka isn't a bad GM but he needs someone good to actually be the president. Reach out to Jerry and give the man what he wants.

So TNT is saying they should get Jerry West. Can they even do that?

I think it's because he can't bring himself to fire someone. He's always been the nice guy. He probably never has had to fire someone in a professional setting. Firing someone is not an easy thing to do. With him knowing how much Jeanie likes Luke, it makes it tougher.

Given the timing that Luke would probably need to go tonight, he probably just couldn't do it...and knew if he couldn't do something he was planning to do, he should step down.

I can’t see Magic not being able to pull the trigger if he legit felt Walton wasn’t the guy. It’s not like Lebron was fighting for Walton to stay and at this point Luke probably wants to leave.

Magic also wouldn’t of ate him out early in the season if Luke was his guy. Nothing points to them having any type of connection other than Jeanie liking both

This is a good move for Magic. Being in charge of the Lakers and LeBron was a no win situation without a championship. Lakers will have a hard time with this but at least they have a lottery pick now. More damage control in the off season.

We all pretty much knew that trading Zubac for a journeymen scrub was incredibly dumb, but let’s not act like LeBron didn’t sign off on Rondo, Lance, McGee, ect. LeBron doesn’t sign to be just another player.

Not saying Magic did good or inspired confidence, but he’s taking responsibility for getting the guys LeBron wanted.

He just f***ed up their entire offseason.

Magic was the selling point for their free agency pitches. Now dude peaced out, and left them with their wangs in their hands. lol

He couldn't handle firing someone so he fired himself lol.

I typed that before I saw the youtube video posted here but him saying "Tomorrow I would have had to impact someone's life and livelihood". Honestly though, with this exact timing, that HAD to be the reason it happened RIGHT now.

That Zubac trade was honestly one of the baffling trades I’ve ever seen. With the Nets/Celtics deal, you can at least understand the thought process (albeit very flawed) with trading for Garnett and Pierce. The Muscala deal just made no sense.

How do we know that Pelinka is a bad GM though? A lot of these moves were a lot more Magic than anyone else. I wonder how he would be with more autonomy.
