This would be a fun series. Might be a sweep but it’d be fun. Memphis, San Antonio or Portland wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

I’m talking about this yr, genius, and are you actually calling ibaka a poor defensive player? If you are actually going back yrs before, maybe look who was on the all defensive team before. So again you didn’t look at any of the stats this yr, which tells me you are

A) a moron
B) delusional
C) don’t know anything about basketball
D) trolling

1. Millsap was Denver’s 2nd best player last playoffs and is probably their 2nd best player overall.
2. Millsap is being saved for the playoffs which makes his numbers look worse than Ibaka’s this year.
3. Millsap has always been the better player, Ibaka’s defense has fallen off a cliff 6 years ago and he was overrated to begin with because of the stacked OKC team and fancy blocks.

If I going to use this argument that you’re using, I might as well say Gasol is a better player. Is being saved for the playoffs...So Ibaka a poor defender now...and all those defensive positions for yrs was just fake/overrated defense.... sure buddy. Clever.

No, he’s just regressed significantly while Millsap didn’t.

Edit: plus Millsap has always been more versatile in terms of defending various positions. It’s a very important skill for the Nuggets and overall in today’s league. Gasol is simply a C who defends bigs and protects the rim, and he was elite at that in Memphis and deservedly got the DPOY award.
