Okay so I watched both Semifinals, and the Magic/Celtics was pretty electric. Celts' JD Davidson had a massive game and was hitting shots everywhere, passing great, but the Magic's McClung went nuclear and had a few teammates step up. Magic are in the Finals!

The SAC/SAS game had no scoreboard up on the broadcast so I didn't even know the time or the score the entire game  I swear if they just got the broadcast to work....

But it was a pretty solid Kings win. We have Stockon v Osceola in the best-of-3 GL Finals series.

I have to say this was a mighty fun GL Finals game. I know none of our franchises made it this year, Parl, but if you caught it.... very competitive match.

Out of the gates in the 1st quarter, the Magic were really playing poised basketball. They were moving the ball very well and hitting open shots. Sacramento had obvious nerves throughout the first part of the game because of careless, messy play. Orlando got a handful of easy TO's from the Kings and capitalized immediately.

[okay, that happens overall, but you can tell when players are forcing it.]

At halftime, the Kings were down and hadn't looked that sharp overall. After the 3Q started, Magic again were hitting some big shots, playing tough, but something switched with the Stockton team. They just upped the level considerably. Every shot they shot looked a lot better. Also, Kings faced adversity when Mason Jones turned his ankle severely, sending him to the bench.

In that time, the Kings rallied hard and eventually took the lead, Jones got some treatment and came back into the game and ended up winning GL MVP. Very inspiring performance. I was expecting a lot more from McClung and Slawson on the Magic, but they just went cold at the wrong time.

Kings deserved this one! Great game. The post-game interview for Jones was so nice as well, he credits his team with lavish compliments and how they stuck together, trained hard, and believed; it's the stuff sport is made for.

Earlier on, I thought that the Magic were going to sail through this. I think that Stockton was down, 20+ pts at one point?
But then, in the 3rd it turned into a tug-of-war. And, Stockton never led, until the 4th Qtr.

That was some Game. Stockton Wins it, for the first time in their franchise history.

From what I've seen of McClung, he can play in the NBA. I hope he gets some more PT somewhere.. .3rd PG, teams need emergency PGs like GSW last night vs Minnesota in G2 of playoffs. Someone like McConnell should be his target for how to help 2nd unit get it going.
