I didn't really think about it until now, but Sato was one of Brown's vets when he was a rookie.

“He’s a very humble rookie. He’s a guy that wants to learn a lot,” Tomas Satoransky said. “He will listen to you, listen to what you have to say. I think he’s been really working his [butt] off to get on the court, and now he’s proving that he’s got a lot better since the beginning of the season.”

How the **** do they give this guy up for Hutchinson and Gafford??? Oh, and they also actually gave us cash for it!!!!!!!

They're bad. Like, REALLY bad!!!! Even if TBJ regressed a bit, there's a good player here, they should have tried harder to develop him.

He looks like who we wanted Hutch to become.

I actually believe his shot is salvageable, unlike Hutchinson's. And he's 2 years younger!!!!
Seriously, what a **** steal. Even if it doesn't pan out, we lost absolutely nothing in this deal.

I was mistaken.

Honestly, the line-up worth testing is Sato, Lavine, Brown, PWill, Vuc.

Hutch is 3 years younger. I get people are excited but come on. This guy is Nwaba who I liked but really.

I think you read it backwards. Hutch is 24. TBJ is only 21.

More Neil Funk than Wizards announcers. Quite a number of Bulls turnovers, into the hands of Troy. I imagine Arturas was re-evaluating PG video of Coby, Arci, Sato and kept seeing this Brown fella make full-court plays.

Not gonna get too elated, not sure how he'll shoot and score, but Troy can dribble better than most the Bulls roster. Artunas values point-skills for prospects. Paxson seemed to value defensive effort over any single basketball attribute (not even targeting elite combinations of length & athleticism like a T. Chandler, Gobert or Thybulle, but compromised on one or the other and focused on the "effort" and "desire to win"). This simple change in philosophy is going to account for better vet. min. signings, 13th man trades, and 2nd round picks. Troy has better handles than almost any draft pick in Paxson's entire tenure as GM/VP, besides Rose. And he's got defensive wing-size.

Seems like he got a big demotion since Westbrook joined. Their coach is allowing Russ and Beal to dominate almost 70% of usage, while the FO seemed to draft a slew of wings and forwards whose strength was handling & passing (Deni, Troy, Bonga, Neto). Wagner could pass out the post in college. Not to mention Rui could use more on-ball development. Just seems the Wizards are content not giving these young guys a chance to touch the rock, so that Westbrook and Beal, plus a 32yo Ish Smith could dominate the ball into a 15-win record.

I'm low on Scott Brooks. He isn't good with prospects. He seems has no problem letting his top-stars completely over-dribble. Beal is a freaky shooter, 90% from FT and currently he's shooting 32% from 3P on medium volume. He's up to 35% usage, which would be fine if he was Luka, but he's a shooter first and fore-most... There is all kinds of wrong with that team. This is the same coach who kept Harden at 20% usage even as a 6th man. Isn't moving a 20 PER #3 pick to 6th man usually a move to give him the keys, high usage with the 2nd unit? Even then, he kept it out of Harden's hands, who became MIP immediately in HOU. Sure he was glad to give Thabo, Derek Fisher and Kendrick Perkins some extended looks. Brooks was OK with Russ leading OKC in usage, which obviously ending up pissing off Durant in the end.

I hope Troy is a hidden gem.

No worries. We're not used to this many viable threads on the board. Lol

Love the flier on Troy Brown. That 6'11" wingspan certain plays on defense. Would much rather give him minutes than knucklehead Hutch or hero-ball Denzel.

Purely based on this video, I like the way he moves, good body control and speed, insanely fast hands, willing passer.

Watching clips of Brown, I'm surprised Washington rather take a chance with Hutch over him. Brown looks faster and more reliable despite being an end of the bench guy like Hutch. I guess the value mainly came from the athleticism and length of adding Gafford.

TBJR is younger today than Hutch was on draft night.

Hutchison all of a sudden is available to play tomorrow for the Wizards - this lends me to believe he had a falling out with Donovan.

Gafford and Hutchison came over from the Chicago Bulls in a trade deadline deal and, given Hutchison's recent absence, there was a question of when he would be available for the Wizards. General manager Tommy Sheppard, however, said that will be right away.

"Hopefully, they will be in uniform on Saturday. That’s the plan. Chandler, he did have some difficulties, definitely," Sheppard said Thursday evening after the trades were official.

"I’ll let him relay those to you, but obviously Covid strikes different players and different times and has different effects. I think that was a setback for him that he was still kind of coming to grips with."

Sheppard's quotes suggest that Hutch's issue had something to do with responding to a Covid-related situation. Are you suggesting that Hutch had a falling out with Donovan about that? I guess it could be. Maybe it's somehow both Covid and Donovan related. I guess we will hear something in the next few days.

He def had some problems with someone before he left. The first sentence on his Instagram post was, "Heading to the next chapter like (running man emoji)." Maybe i'm reading too much into it but it felt like a jab.

He has good hands. He isn’t a starter by any means but he could start with an offensive lineup that needs defense which could be the case here. On a second unit where he likely would get PT if he gets any at all he could work with Coby getting seals and forcing breaks against a second unit. He is young could end up being a rotation guy. Hutch was done so this at worst is still a plus. Even though the Bulls until yesterday weren’t an exciting place to get traded to, it was still better than Washington especially they way they used him. Here’s hoping for the best outcome.

Westbrook is going to yell at Hutchinson a lot if he misses open shots and ruins his assists numbers.

He had a conversation with BD was told to think it over and we never saw him again, it is not a big stretch to see that there was some personal issue going on. Hope for him that Washington is a good new chapter for him. Gar might have been watching the TV and screaming AK you idiot Hutch is a god!
