Can you get 99 Robinson instead?

I would be concerned about downgrading so many players if you're also presumably using 07 Duncan, 00 Miller, 11 Kidd to make it work. I feel like you might be better off going with one of young Butler or 7.4 FGA Miller here and having star Robinson.

Yeah I'm definitely trying to keep as many guys in their prime as I can, although for fit reasons I actually prefer second Mavs stint Kidd here to his Nets days

I do think I can get 99 Robinson, keep everybody else prime and just get 3 FGA scrub at the last bench spot

If you find yourself needing to downgrade multiple players you’re probably better off just having one or 2 role players to keep prime versions of a lower number of stars.

In this case you lose a special dimension your team had if you downgrade David Robinson.

Not really, but moving off 2000 is seen as pretty significant in these parts. I'd try to squeeze that out if you can.
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

Is that prime Giannis? Boogie/KG/Battier/Paul/Giannis is pretty damn good in this game.

He had to go to 2011 Paul and 2008 KG though

Bunch of surprisingly good teams despite the garbage we started with. I think I like Wack's team the most so far

A few notes in passing:

1) Roddy's approach is interesting. Iverson is a really costly player but it almost feels like he's building his team as though he doesn't exist. I guess when a player like Wade drops you kind of do what you have to do. Very talented group and I like the defensive role players around them, but I'm unsure on the Wade/Iverson fit. I'm open minded though.

2) I think the teams that will do the best are the teams that managed to work their unpopular star's strengths into their build. For instance, Baron Davis, limited as he is, will be pretty useful on a team with good spacing and more efficient finishers. I think I've done that fairly competently as well- I think Demar works well as a finisher surrounded by all of these defenders and playmakers. Dr P and Colbini have worked their guys into their builds pretty well as well.

3) Still unsure which version of Kawhi to use. I feel like most will perceive Stock/Malone as the centerpiece offensively, so I don't know that Toronto or LAC Kawhi is necessary here. Unsure how different 2016 and 2017 Kawhi are for this particular team either. Interested in people's perspective on that.

Very happy with Stock/Christie/Kawhi/Malone/Gobert with Demar as a 6th man. I think it works well offensively and shouldn't be vulnerable to matchups defensively.

Fun fact: Until that Patty Mills pick every player on my team had either played for the Raptors or the Jazz.

Yikes, Dr P gets PG13 too.

At least I'll have the best pick and roll in the game to counter Shaq.

I probably would've gone for something like AI/Durant/Barkley in roddy's position or taken Kobe over Wade... I think the tradeoff of Ai being a better player but costing more wasn't as bad as I thought, just not crazy about dropping those huge FGAs on another slashing guard in Wade on top of it

Fadeaway_J wrote:This wasn't the intention of the game, but with me relegating Big Al to a backup I've kind of enjoyed building a more realistic team with only 69 FGA for the remaining seven players. I mean, my team actually looks like an improved version of the '96 Bulls, even though it's got less firepower than normal. Makes me want to do a redux of one of the lower-FGA drafts (maybe 75 or 80).

I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that was OKC Harden.

Still, I like it. You can compete with anyone, imo. And depending on matchups, King may be quite useful.
