What about Norman Powell as a free agent target?

A little younger than THJ and shoots the 3 at a similar rate. Overall, scores more efficiently and has a reputation for good defense. He is a little smaller but has done well guarding larger players. He actually played SF in Portland. He would likely be better at starting next to Luka.

That would leave Brunson as a trade asset to try to find an upgrade elsewhere.

A better fit than THJ, but I'd rather work out S&T with Portland than go to bidding war.

Powell is a different player than THJ, big fundamentals.
A system player, more orderly and disciplined.

He and THJ are similar level players, i choose who cost less.

Regarding THJ and Powell, I agree with the "whoever costs less" concept.

Some stuff being reported today about KP really working on some things over the summer. I sure hope so. I really think trading him is best, but I only give that about a 20% chance of happening

If Jrich and THJ walks it could be done. There's around $35M to spend.

Both start at 18, DDR for 4 year and Lowry for 3, I'm not sure I'd do it, I'd resign THJ and sign DDR, and look for a PG with the room exception.

I'm not a Donnie fan but sure as hell sounds like Voulgaris made the Wright and Richardson moves. Also didn't consult the scouting dept on the draft. Can't blame Donnie he ain't making the moves

The article smells fishy. It should get a lot of attention given Luka's gravitas. Heck, JJ Reddick has been pounding on Luka topics to get his channel more likes.

I can definitley see Cuban saying something totally outrageous to get fined on purpose. To take the heat off his players. Did it for Nash and Dirk before.

They should both be getting pink slips

Danny Ainge is coincidentally looking for a new job. Any chance Donnie gets replaced with Ainge and a whole new staff?

Also, I understand the KP trade. Had DSJ finished the season with Dallas, his value would have sunk and you'd actually be stuck with him now. Rondo and Noel were both an asterisk to me, also had something to do with Carlisle. ESPN was recently talking about how Thibs who used to really crack the whip and was old school, had to adjust to a new style of coaching seeing how it has become a player's league. Carlisle is extra tough on micromanaging and it may seem excessive to a certain degree. I dont know if that style of coaching will still work in 2021.

Like I said I'm not a fan, but some of those deal didn't work out for other reasons besides him.
