Why Hasty and not Sermon?

Oh, For sure.
Mitchell is reading and reacting to them quite well. If that was Sermon out there, I doubt those would be big gainers.

Still hate Norman, the safety made a great play on the ball

Re: 49ers vs. Bears
And Josh Norman comes up with the play that likely guarantees another start for him; kind of a bittersweet pick.

Norman seals it with the deflected INT. He actually covered quite a bit of ground while the ball was in the air.
Nice!!!!
Nice!!!!

Sanu this time
This is with 49ers already having their bye, so they have played 1 less game than a lot of teams.

Yeah, its been solid so far. Especially on that 3rd and long completion to Sanu last possession. Jimmy had time to eat a sandwich on that play.
Lets hope it holds up
It did.
Went on to finish the game with 0 sacks, 0 QB hits.
I've been bagging on the Oline the last few weeks, but I got to hand it to them in this game. They were rock solid. Hopefully they can sustain that level of play.

Re: 49ers vs. Bears
Tale of two halves with the 1st half looking like they have had most of the season with the second finally breaking out of a funk offensively.
The execution was sloppy in the first half offensively but that long pass at the end of the half to Deebo seems like it started to wake them up and finally that 83 yarder he had really got things going.
Seemed like Shanahan found his groove as well as this was probably his best called game of the season and I don't really recall any plays he called that really had me scratching my head.
Defensively they were just so so. I don't think it was a terrible performance but they were not as sharp as they should've been.
I think you tip your hat to the Bears at least for having a pretty good plan offensively and playing towards Field's strengths. I think they were different enough on offense it threw a curve to Ryans who to his credit seem to make the adjustments at the half. Makes you question how much of the problem is Nagy with them.
The run defense was suspect and for some reason they seemed to completely forget what they did against Murray earlier this season and let the Fields have too many opportunities to run. Feels to me the team is really missing Greenlaw to help along with Warner to get these guys at the LOS.
Pass defense was fine for once. They were too soft on 3rd down but it's not like Fields was shredding them through the air either. Still have to hold my breath every time I see a deep shot but thankfully that was an issue today.
Good to get the win and stave off the negativity that was building for the past month but given it's the Cards and Rams the next two games that might not last long.

Re: 49ers vs. Bears
Deebo is also 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards with 819, despite already having his bye and played 1 less game than a lot of players. He trails only Cooper Kupp by 105 yards (Kupp has played 1 more game). Deebo has the NFL's highest yards per game at 117 per.
Also of note:
With his 819 yards in 7 games, Deebo Samuel has already set a new career high in receiving yards this season. Besting his rookie 2019 campaign of 802 yards.
Deebo Samuel has 44 receptions
The rest of the WR corps combined only has 34 (Sanu 14, Aiyuk 13, Sherfield 4, Jennings 3).
Kittle is second on the team with 19 receptions, while missing 3 games.... These stats don't shed a bright light on the WR position group.
