Tom Brady retires: The GOAT's final TD pass of career was thrown into crowd by Mike Evans, ball still at large

Goddamn.

There's so much in that text
1. Why are you texting congrats before any announcement?
2. Flores immediately recognizing the mistake and exactly what happened
3. BB not trying to back track at all

The Ross paying for losses thing is a bad look and with gambling so widespread it's something they can't ignore. But it also feels disingenuous to act surprised, the dolphins traded their star LT a week before the season that year and all their actions that year screamed 'we're tanking'. So is the freakout simply because they actually said what we all knew out loud? Well then there's the irony that the team who actually got the number 1 pick that year got Burrow and is in the Super Bowl. Ross was right.

I wonder how much of that is avoiding paying trademark trolls exorbitant fees into perpetuity for the use of the more logical names. Those trolls who snatch up potential trademarks, domain names, etc have generated fat paychecks for themselves for merely filing documentation early.

Could be. It's a very unispired, not as bad as the Texans but certainly not as cool as the Kraken.

I think they definitely didn't want to pay up so they settled.

If this is the spark that exposes the NFL's serious racism problem, then I'm here for it.

Nepotism and Cronieism at the entry point of coaching is a huge problem in the NFL and plays a part in their diversity hiring issues.

I'm here for the absolute **** storm of legal and PR nightmares that's about to consume the league. It's a long overdue reckoning. And yes, I fully expect Goodell to somehow survive this like the cockroach that he is.

Well I mean considering this is an owners issue (the people he works for) and he's gonna be the one that takes the heat off them is why he'll survive

Luckily for the packers they dodge most of the bad press by being the only team without an owner. Bill Belicheck dropping those texts is an all time thing just goes to show just how much of a croney society the NFL is if he knew who was getting the gigs before anyone else.

I'm sure the NFL has covered up so much ****. Teams circumventing the cap (TB12). Prominent players failing numerous drug tests. This is exciting stuff. Take em all down!

Next up will be the class actions from Browns and Dolphins fans asking for ticket reimbursements to the games they were intentionally trying to lose.

I like the NFL, but yeah, when Washington pushes cheerleaders to prostitution and they get no penalty because they changed their name, its time to hold some people really accountable, in a real way.
