There are people here that liked Vuc  He is so incredibly soft

He just finished a game with 32 minutes, 12pts, 4 rebounds, and 0 blocks while Duren (19 years old) had 23,15, 2 and the Pistons won the rebounding battle 53-32. :nonono:

Not his fault, just happenstance every situation around Vuc ends in 9th/10th seed lol

(great player and deserved all-star, but the excuses given to him are wild)

Indiana beat Cleveland, in Cleveland. They are tough.

Worth noting that the Cavs were without Garland, Mitchell and Allen.

Indiana has crazy offense. Everybody can shoot, Haliburton is best passing PG in basketball today, they move off ball like crazy, over two games they produced near 80 assists ( on 19 turnovers )

Impressed by pistons.

night and day difference a competent staff could make, since day one.

cunningham - thompson - duren already seems like a good building block, burks is the type of acquisition you always want at this level, for a team like that.

Ivey seems out of place there…pretty predictable, even on draft night, they HAD to take him, clear BPA- even with Cade already on board. I would love to liberate him to ORL.

Ivey isn't a PG, and I don't think they want Cade on the ball 100% of the time.

Oh, I didn't know that.

Also it was a back to back for Cavs. They played OKC the night before. The Pacers are tough but Cavs had some few circumstances that didn’t help their play.

Bulls, Wizards, Hornets, Nets, Hawks and I don’t think Detroit is good.

Yeah, those circumstances scale down the surprise dramatically.

They’re not bad, but they’re not good either.

Then there’s a huge chunk of teams in the middle of the East that could finish anywhere from 35 to 45 wins - Pacers, Heat, Nets, Hawks, Raptors, Bulls, Magic are all in that range IMO.

Cliff knew. He knew the whole time...

Seems like a lot of teams at running 8 or 9 man rotations with no 2nd team center. Philly is starting Embiid, Toby Harris, and PJ Tucker….their 2nd unit has just been guards and SF. Bamba looks like the backup 5 but out of the rotation.

Clifford tried to do the same thing in Charlotte, was playing Mason Plumlee and Nick Richards ahead of lottery pick Mark Williams and management moved Plumlee.

I am not sure anything would have turned out differently in Orlando had we prioritized Bamba’s development, seems like his problem is internal rather than physical.

I do hope management has a development plan for the new young guys. Real game time experience is what you need to get better. Practice is different.

Both conferences are deeeep. If the Celtics and Bucks and maybe Sixers finish like 24 games over .500 (53-29). There are going to be a lot of team fighting over the leftover wins. .500 might be good for the 5th seed.

Charlotte and Detroit are not terrible, they are going to beat some teams if the opponent doesn’t play/shoot well.

Washington and Chicago have the lowest floor, but that is only if they blow it up. As they are built now they are going to win some games.

Seems like this season is going be super tight like you said. Injuries/missed time are likely to have a large impact on the standings. TBH I don’t think the best teams in East are going win that much, maybe there are more wins out there for the rest of the conference.

Orlando should have an advantage because of our bench.

Watching Detroit play they are going to be a problem and I see as a play in team. Pacers aren’t looking bad.

Yea i agree, but they are simply unlucky to be 0-2 right now.
They were up by 5 with 90 sec left vs Cavs and somehow lost (Mitchell dagger 3) and vs Dallas, Luka made some of most unrealistic threes possible, including elbow, off balance, step back, fadeaway - off glass three point shot.

I don't think they will be great or anything, but i think lot of contenders could use lot of their peaces and Nets could retool roster.

Nets are crazy team to watch,Simmons does not want to shot at all,Thomas shot almost letterally every time he has ball in his hands, one of two centers with a range of two meters max playing with them + Dinwiddie,Denis Smith jr(!!)and a bunch of competent players(bridges, cam, dfs,o'neale, ecc.)

it Is a strange mix and will be curiuos how their season gonna develop, they could put on the floor super defensive line-ups,but also other ones that could be easily top worst 5 offense.

big incentive to W: not having their first pick in 2024 draft,no need to tank and with that long roster seems really difficult to see them going under 35-36 w at least.
