We'd be 6-1 right now if we drafted Dalton Knecht

No we won't cause he would also be on the bench like any other rook. I am beginning to question how Nurse run his rotations after last night.

Let him cook. He should be our #1 guy until Embiid or Maxey returns. PG can be his assist converter.

You just know we're going to trot out Lowry and Gordon next game though.

Not 6-1 but maybe 3-4 or 4-3 if we drafted Zach Edey because you can’t switch the Edey-Maxey PnR and Edey would be huge for our rim protection.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

How were we going to draft Edey when he went 7 picks before the Sixers selection? There's no reason to shove him into a discussion he's got no part being in.

Maxey's on the shelf. I say you roll with McCain and let him cook. The more experience he gets, the better he'll be and the quicker we'll all know. Think of it as the same situation with Maxey in his 2nd season when he was forced into action.

Yup, McCain is going to be pretty good playing a lot of minutes alongside George and Embiid. Let him get reps in the Embiid DHO. It will be a boon later this year and next season as long as Maxey gets to full health.

Tonight at the Staple Center where I hope Nurse plays McCain so he can face Knecht against each other. It will give us a glimpse if we made the right decision or not early on in their pro careers. If both get equal minutes, I think Jared will win round 1 tonight in the scoring department!

Or just stop comparing him now to a guy 4 years older.

They will always be compared regardless of age since we had a choice to select either one as both were surprisingly available to us during the draft. Had we selected the older guy, JJ would most likely taken McCain based on their needs. Both players had dropped from their latest mock draft.

McCain is about to rise in the rookie rankings during this period of Maxey being out.

I'm hoping the FO realizes what they have in him and don't trade him. His confidence, even when he's smoking layups, is unmatched and he's been playing excellent defense. He's one of the few guys on the team playing high effort ball right now, something that I can appreciate after like 6 years of weak effort.

Spot on. This is the perfect time to see what we have in the kid.

Zero minutes for Gordon last night was a start.
always a jump shot away.

If our intentions were to simply trade our drafted player for a proven role player, we would have taken Knecht that many teams were calling on. Not too many were calling for a young raw player that is 2-3 years away to refined and fully developed his game like Bronny. Morey is definitely keeping his singing tiktok star!

Knecht was the MOST NBA READY player in the draft to be productive NOW!!! Every team in the draft knew that but lottery teams are generally rebuilding teams who wants YOUNG players to grow with the team like how OKC started. Not OLD players. However, contenders down in the draft wanted Knecht, so if the Sixers intention was to trade the rookie, they would had taken Knecht and everyone knew that. No one wants to draft raw players like young Hood-Schifino who still can't crack get any playing time. Had raw Springer who we drafted helped us in any meaningful way? Knecht was the right player for us to win NOW, not LATER! The sooner you realize this, the more informed you would be as a fan.
