just quoting this part, forgive me. i think this is the point I wanted to make. Giannis could also, if he wanted, make himself far less desirable. not saying he would, as he seems like a pretty chill guy overall. but if he did go that route, i think you could expect the return to be less.
idk, every time i think there is a limit to what superstars can do with their leverage in the player empowerment era, even when under seemingly mutually beneficial contracts, i am surprised. lol. personally, i hope he and MIL find a way to work it out so he can stay there.
maybe i'm weird, but to me basketball isn't just for ballheads. there are kids in MIL who grew up with him, have his poster on their wall, probably wouldnt have watched the NBA if he didn't come along. he has singlehandedly (hyperbole but whatever) created an entire new era of bucks basketball where the team is relevant and interesting. we already saw luka leave dal where he was beloved. id prefer not to see another community go through that.
