Yeah, I like the option of signing the most physical and defensively adept players available and giving Cleveland hell in the playoffs.

Bledsoe, Stephenson, Granger, McRoberts, Marion, Blair... hell, maybe even geezers like Pierce, K-Mart, Billups, Metta

We wouldn't win it all, but we'd knock a few teeth out along the way. Hahaha, go total goon squad.

IMO, the older Heat fans are like "ok Lebron went his own way" and accept it as just another event. For the younger or newer Heat fans it's got to be a kick in the guts, as that's pretty much what they grew watching or how they became a fan.

But we older fans have been there done that. I remember ZO's illness and that was a kick in the guts. Also Timmy Hardaway when he was in one leg, was sad to see. Still the greatest moment for me was my favorite player DWade becoming a stud. Our very own stud, and then winning it all as the Finals MVP.

We rented a mercenary player in Lebron (I have spoken with friends and associates and that's how they see LeBron's actions with the college thing), and won the tittle 2 more times than most teams. I say that's a pretty good bang for your buck.

Let's build this team Riley, I want to remain competitive.

I agree with you, he's going to be in for a shock if he thinks he can replicate what he had in Miami over there. One player, one man, one person cannot design the make-up of a franchise.

There is no Pat Riley in the front office. There is no Wade, with all his experience. There is no Haslem, no Bosh, no Battier, etc. Maybe that will change, but as of right now it's LeBron and a bunch of young, inexperienced rooks.

It takes YEARS to build the kind championship continuity you see in the Spurs, and the Phil Jackson Lakers and Bulls. Lebron honestly believes he can do it but I'm skeptical.
