I'm another one who's not that into Curry, esp if that means Jennings is going somewhere. Jennings is the kind of player you're trying to get, a winner, a gamer, someone you can build with. Why unload the best acquisition/pick you've made in 4 years?
Curry is a very good player, sure, but he's not a superstar, and worse he may never be the same player he's been because of his foot. What's so great about acquiring an injury prone guard for an injury prone center--esp when the center has had a range of injuries without one serious chronic one, and the guard may very well have one? When that guard is going to hit free agency shortly?
Is this all about what Jennings said a month ago? Goodness, a candid 22 year old player said he's looking at the different markets in the league. Ok, so you'd hope he'd recognize that it's an inflammatory thing to say, but he's just being forthright. Why inflate it into a big deal? Is our franchise like a 12 year old kid--"I'll show him"?!
If a Bogut-Curry goes through, fine, whatever, but I really don't see it as a huge plus move. If it goes through and pushes Jennings out too in an accompanying trade, I think those moves will be right there among all the terrible Bucks moves we lament.
