The team would have to stay. Under $125 and be hard capped. That's not Presti's way.

Starting five? Cant imagine Grant starting?

Roberson will be the shooting guard that can't shoot.

You did. I remember that post lol. Maybe Thabo would come back. He would be a nice addition to this roster. Could let us play smaller and always have a great wing defender on the floor.

His contract will be an asset in a year. I don't see them stretching him because he would be on the books till 22.

W/ the rosters expanding he can just sit on the bench and rot. We could use him to get salaries to match in the future. He sticks on the roster for now but not impossible to move especially since he is only due $9.6 million

He singed for less. We have other needs at this point. Looks like he wanted to get back on the market quick as well. Good signing for Memphis.

So C.J Miles isn't coming.

Don't remember OKC making a trade the media previously thought could happen.

He's a free agent.

He would have to sign for the mid Level starting @ $5.1 million.

Yes. I think this rules Gay out as well unless he is willing to take the midlevel. But, he just left $13 million on the table in Sac-Town.

Have a few options here. Somehow dump Kanter's salary and pursue someone at either wing spot in FA or move George to the 3 and pursue a real 4 in free agency.

Re-signing Gibson only makes sense if he is going to be playing back up C with George and Grant eating up a lot of the minutes unless OKC wants to trade Grant and have Gibson come off of the bench.

Hell, maybe they want Grant to play the 3 again.

If I'm OKC, I am only re-signing Gibson if we are dumping Kanter's contract or it's just that good of a deal.

So that leaves us with some options:

Let Roberson walk and get another shooter at the 3 (Miles?) or re-sign Roberson and find a way to bolster the bench. Personally, I would re-sign Roberson and have Abrines start at the 2 and find a back up 2 and 1.

George has very famously said he won't play the 4.

It's a different league now. The Thunder won't start him there. But, he was saying he didn't want to guard the Z-Bo's, Taj's and LMA of the world. If he is guarding kd, LJB, Melo while they are playing the 4 he will b fine.

I think both could be on 2-way contracts next season.

Need more. No reason. To give up Kanter 24 who can score down low for Chandler 33.

Maybe if they sweeten the deal w/ a TJ Warren. He could be the starting 4 next year.

I've never liked his game. The fact that every team he leaves seem to get better doesn't help the overall assessment either.

That's because he was always the vocal point of the team. Him comming here on a mid Level deal would let him be himself and not have to put the team on his shoulders.

He meet with the Kings. Every free agent 4 in the league has to want to start for us this year. Too bad we can only offer a starting Salary at $5.1 million.

He stepped in to team USA after they lost PG to that nasty injury and kd walked out on them. He was the starting 3 and helped win a gold medal.

maybe ferguson is unsigned for this purpose.

I agree. Why is he not playing in summer league. There is a purpose. I could see him getting flipped in a deal.

In other news the Wolves have interest in dealing Cole Aldrich and his 2 year $14 million contract w/ our 2018 first in a salary dump move. I know the pick would be in the late 20's but I wonder if it would effect the 2020 that Orlando now has.

It's July 3rd it will get figured out. It might be good to go into the season seeing how George, Grant, McDermott, and minimum guy do at the 4 and see what the market looks during the season.

Got to take Singler back to make it work. He said he is willing to go to Houston or Cleveland.
