Too much derping into what ifs re: Zion and Booker. This isn't 2k where you turn the injuries down on the sliders. This is the game of life and believe it or not the difference between elite guys like Booker and Zion and the next guy up shouldn't break a team. There are other strategies and also one guy being out gives another guy a green light and guess what.... They are also one of the best 500 in the world.
I'm guessing Willie doesnt change much for game 6. I'd like him to though. I saw too many wide open looks for Pels role players ignored because it was CJ, BI or Val who had to take the shot.
That isn't trusting the team.
If the Pels wanna beat the Suns then Brandon/CJ gotta give it up and trust more.

Mccollum owes us one game where he is hot as hell.
He is not great playoff preformer, but still he needs to have one game left where he just goes nuclear...

JV was 7/11, I don't think he was a problem on the offense, except maybe he should have taken the initiative more instead of setting up CJ/Ingram.

It's more the fact that BI and CJ take tough contested midrange shots while Murphy is on the floor, in the corner, wide open. Happened a few times today.
Walk the Talk. Trust these guys. Herb was also wiiiiide open for corner 3's a few times and just ignored in favour of a highly contested midrange.
Win or lose... play the damn game the right way. The Pels forced too much through CJ and Ingram and to a lesser extent Val.
CJ and Ingram have to give open guys their shots. Thats my opinion.

Hardly. It's a 28 win differential between these two teams and it's still competitive. Booker is out, but so is Zion.
I really hope people aren’t being serious with these “but so is Zion” takes when comparing it to Booker being out. I thought at first you guys were but this is the third or so time that I’ve seen it be mentioned.
I agree it's not comparable because Zion is a better player. And CP3 is the best player on the Suns.
So you actually do think this is a valid point to make then? You think it's valid to say that the Pelicans are without the guy that they haven't had play with their team all season long and thus that negates the Suns being without their best player that they HAVE had play with them for most of the season. Do I understand that correctly?

the point is if the pels had Zion all year, they wouldnt have ever been an 8th seed, and thus would not have been playing the Suns in the first round.MrBigShot wrote:TheLand13 wrote:MrBigShot wrote:

The Pels have been without Zion the entire season. They had a preseason and 82+ games to adjust to not having him.
And no one serious about basketball would rather have fat Zion than Booker for the playoffs.

If NO had Zion and CJ the entire year I could see them top 3 or 4 of the West. Without Zion but CJ all year I place them around the Jazz level which is still way better than play-in. They got some good players in every position.
