I thought he said Chicago was out of the sweepstakes, along with Houston and Dallas. That contradicts what he said saying the Bulls are still alive no?

Carmelo could have ruled them out internally but has not yet informed anyone externally. That is not a contradiction although, as a general matter, I don't buy anything being said but I am enjoying this so Im going to ride with it.

I guess my point is, that isn't a reputable source tweeting out his info. That's a reputable source tweeting.

Yeah, it's pretty hilarious.

I took Carl's comment to just meant that we should wait to start thread 7 so that the big news will happen in that thread, instead of thread 8. And he thinks it'd be cool for it to happen in the thread with Melo's number. The idea that it won't happen at all if we start the thread too soon is pretty silly, and I don't think he ever implied that. He was just saying that if big things do happen, Amare being traded will be the start of it, so hold off until then.

So is Laker situation really that much better. I look at that org and they don't inspire confidence in me. No head coach (This late in the game!). Kobe is Kobe but how much longer does he really have? To me they are in flux and not the same "Lakers." If Melo decides to go there it will be because of his wife and the Cali lifestyle.
