I feel like there should be a bunch of decent defensive centers in Europe who can hit an open three. We need to find one and give him all the money.

or completely max draymond green and start him at "center". im not even kidding. im sure warriors match but if not him just get a physical, active guy who can shoot some and play up front. just go with that. the friggin warriors just won a title with that. its not like we don't have "true centers" that can play if we have to go big.

We don't have the shooters to make Green effective.

What's that 20/10 asset in David Lee bringing in these days? Al Jefferson?

And I don't think Monroe is as good as either of those guys in their primes.

I think we're confusing them again :D

It's going to be awesome when we find something to argue about.

Something something Melbourne sucks.

Nah, I'm far to agreeable on things.

You could probably get a similar pick to that worthless Clippers one back in a few years with an expiring or two for Monroe. Assuming some contender needs a guy slowing down their offense, not playing defense and with no jumper.

Our spacing will be **** until Giannis/Parker/MCW learn to shoot. That's not on our center, whoever your preference is. If Giannis/Parker don't learn to shoot the whole thing was **** from the beginning.

Monroe is better?

With Monroe, Jabari and Giannis all down low there's gonna be loads of space for MCW to jack horrible 3PA's.

Any advanced stat you look at Monroe is better, as well as being younger and a better rebounder; so yes, he is a better player than the mental midget that is Hibbert (and this is coming from someone who doesn't like Monroe very much).

I'd rather give Monroe a chance at 25 years old under Kidd and in our system than Roy **** Hibbert. Monroe has 12 FGA per game and is going to be playing with better players than on the Pistons, if Giannis and Jabari can't learn to score from mid range and to an extent 3-point range then we're not a championship team anyways.

Box score stats maybe.

Can someone knowledgeable help me out - if we do sign a Monroe or a Lopez, that puts our roster well over 15. How do we get rid of players like Plumlee, Bayless, etc to make room? Trade? How does that trade work? Are there teams that would want those players that have players with expiring contacts?

Offseason rosters can be at 20 players so ya got a while to find a solution. Or you just cut someone like JOB.

Absolutely yes to Green at C if he could be had.

I don't like this. Normally I would be totally against Monroe he is the type of player who seems to put up empty stats. But can't help but feel excited by the possibility of signing him. What's wrong with me.

Monroe is a major upgrade from what we have in terms of half court offense, rebounding and passes as well or better than ZaZa. If he really wants a 3 year contract w an opt out, we are realistically looking at a two year deal to see if it works. Very low risk with an obvious exit strategy in place.

I won't mind if it is Rolo, Monroe or even Koufos but feel like people are going way out of their way to invent a scenario where Monroe makes us somehow worse. Its bull **** plain and simple.

Still think that RoLo is most likely as I did before, but Monroe is a distinct possibility.

RoLo is definitely my preference, but I'm quite pleased to hear things went well with Monroe.

They are both bad. Agree?

Nope. As I said Emo Hibbert is a decent player, engaged Hibbert is very good.

It would be like having Bogut back.

Damn. RealGM was broken for a minute. I thought we may have signed Monroe.

Or, as I would call him, "MON-roe."

You guys are making a bigger deal out of Monroe's defense than it needs to be. He comes in at 11th in DRPM among PFs with a +2.29. He has a +.37 ORPM too. Kidd can make that defense work and the spacing needs to fix itself. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/rpm/_/sort/RPM/position/6

Usage is a completely different discussion and one that does worry me.
