Re: *MERGED* Done Deal. Goodbye Jrich/Hedo/Clark
I...I...I'm not sure what to make of this trade. Knew something was coming, but I don't really get it, beyond acquiring Gortat.
Great to pick up another 1st, but Suns trade 2 rotation players for 3? For a roster already too full of rotation players...there HAS got to be another trade coming and soon. Right?
Facilatating an C. Anthony trade for NYK or NJ?
I'm hoping it's the prelude to a move involving the Hawks.
It wouldn't suprise me if Carter and Pietrus never wear a Suns uni.
Not saying this trade is necessarily bad...just confusing, especially if these are all the dominoes that fall.
Gotta be more to come...please!

Past drafts don't count for that rule, if you haven't traded a future first you can go ahead and trade both the ORL's and your own.

Re: *MERGED* Done Deal. Goodbye Jrich/Hedo/Clark
I wanted to read all the comments before going to bed (approaching 00.00 hrs in Spain) but there is a new page everytime I finish reading a previous one.
I like the transaction, as most of you do, if only because we get rid of money at the end of the season and get a solid defensive center (that cannot play PF) in Gortat. Now López should push himself if he cares about getting playing time.
What strucks me is that all the weeks that Gentry has been teaching a sistem now are a liitle bit forgotten. We now have 5 players that can play center (López, Gortat, Barron, Frye and Siler) and a good 4 (Warrick) but we still should play our super up-tempo style.
I do agree with the fan that would bring Frye and Gortat together off the bench and would give Warrick, together with López, the starting spots. But mostly I believe that López and Warrick belong together.
I think we are done trading, but may be the Hawks are the team we could work with. They badly need a center and probably would be willing to get one (López, may be Barron or both) and a perimeter player (not Childress, of course) for Crawford, who is also in his final year.

mark my words.. Vince has a team option of 18 mil for next year.. The Suns are going to use that to bring them their stud power forward they need.. The Suns ARE NOT done trading yet, you will see another big trade before the deadline.

We could also look to trade both our 1sts to get into the top 5. Just saying...

Don't know if u guys caught it, but Coro said some things about the new depth chart in tweets: http://twitter.com/#!/paulcoro
1. Said Lopez will still start.
2. JChill is still the odd man out with Pietrus getting backup SF slot b/c he defends and shoots better.
3. Roster is set. I am very happy. Solid defense off bench w/ Duds-Pietrus-Gortat:
G Nash-Drag
G Vince-Duds
F Hill-Pietrus
F Frye-Hakim
C Lopez-Gortat
11th- Childress
12th- Siler
13th- Barron
14th- Lawal

I agree. I don't see Vince being traded, but I do think that at least one of the first round picks we have will make their way to NY. Also think that Chill or Pietrus will be moved before the deadline.
SHAZAM!
Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

This might not be the last Suns deal either. They're still working other avenues. With this trade, they have just as many wings as before.

Look like Nash isn't going anywhere.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but why didn't we just trade Hedo+Clark for Gortat+Pietrus?

Take out our first, and Allen, and its deal. You think childress needs to be in there, instead of peitrus?
