Nelson torched him in the playoffs a few years back.

That's irrelevant. I'm speaking about now and basketball IQ.

As does the entire Raptors team. Doesn't matter what player throws on the T-Dot uni, as long as the opposition says 'Magic', they are bound to play above their abilities. I'll never understand it.

You guys want Calderon?

We'll take him off your hands for Reddick and Clark. You can have Alabi too.

Bout the Nelson/Calderon thing, just look at how Calderon gets everyone involved. Nelson's a much better scorer, but we could use some more playmaking from the PG spot. I'd like to see Nelson get 10+ assists ..

On a team with all these shooters & Dwight Howard, it can't be hard to have more assists than Nelson's usual 5apg ..

I like him, but he should focus on playmaking more than scoring.

Guys would it be crazy to start saying that Anderson is our 2nd best player ?

I haven't watched this game yet but he's got 15 so far and he's been great this season.

I hope he keeps it up !

Dwight needs to pick up his play on both ends....Defense is real sloppy but maybe the culprit is fatigue? IDK....J-Rich needs to really pick it up and continue the play he had the previous game....Nelson is playing like siht bottom line....his shot has been dead all year so far and his defense leaves a lot to be desired....Hedo seemed too indecisive...One minute he'll drive it to the rack the next he's passing up shots causing turnovers....Needs to be more (hedo voice) AGGressive......JJ and Ryan have been a godsend...if it wasn't for them we would be down way more to the frickin Craptors.....If J-Rich isn't coming to play then Wafer should be in there just for energy alone imo.....

Magic might want to trade Nelson while he still has trade value.

All starting Centers are more efficient than Dwight.

this team needs better passing. we're doing alright at moving the ball around at the moment, but when defenses get tight we could use a guy like Calderon who can thread the needle. then again, we could use a guy like Meer in those moments to go get us some points.

tbh, i think a Calderon/Meer PG combo would be ideal - just not on the salaries they're both currently on. Meer comes off the bench as a 6th man scoring spark, whilst Calderon runs the team the rest of the time.

You hit the nail on the head. If we had a legit second scorer (ala Ellis, Iggy, etc), then yes, Calderon would be a much better fit than Nelson. But since we don't, Nelson is far more valuable than Calderon due to the team's current structure.

Ideally we'd have someone like Nash to run the show, but we know that ain't happening.

who came in last year in the beginning of the season and beat us at home.

I may be in the minority, but im not really liking what i see with Hughes on the court. he is turning the ball over, missing shots. want Nelson back, healthy, but back.

i said this earlier, but i was hoping the Magic would show up to play and not repeat last year.
