I think we all understand that, but ESPN has to sell ad space, so they make it sound like the earth is shifting because of a draft pick.

But, if a team like the Bulls or Celtics or Toronto get a franchise impact player when they are already playoff teams/almost playoff teams or have good players, those teams can take off.

I think Philly goes with Simmons. To me it makes more sense too. Then again, Hinkie ain't running the show anymore, BC is and he's pretty bad.

Noel
Okafor
Simmons

Sign Bazemore and Conley and trade Embiid for depth. Or trade Noel for depth.

I'm sickened. If ever a team didn't deserve the top pick it's the Sixers. They should be banished from the draft for the next five years.

Philly is horrible shooting-wise. Really need to take Ingram. Plus he's the better player anyway.
Bulls might look to trade because not much outside of top 2. Otherwise the scouting better be terrific if we don't trade.

Philly doesn't NEED a playmaking big with Saric coming over next season. I imagine they'll take Ingram if they think he's the better prospect.

I feel like if you're drafting that high, you have to get the best talent.

That said, Ingram fits their team better for sure. You could play Saric at the 4 maybe. Trade Okafor or Noel for a starting 2.

Lakers have the easy job and I assume they'll end up with Ingram, which is going to make a nice nucleus with Russell and Randle.

At least they won in a year with a weak ass top end.

I just can't agree with anyone that says that Hinkie did a terrible job. If they landed the 1st pick last season, he's considered a genius. Regardless, they've got so many assets and talent. If they can build something, it will be because of the work and trades he's made. He robbed every GM he traded with and still has picks to come from LA and Sacramento.

He openly tanked to acquire cheap cost controlled assets and he's taken BPA. He's built up something really nice there. And they have a ton of cash to go after FAs, especially with the cap rising.

Hell next year they can fill in the gaps with all the cap space and make trades to consolidate if necessary.

BC will muck this up though

i'll take it. philly fans deserve something good to happen, boston doesn't get a huge bump, and yet more evidence that the draft isn't rigged. wish LA had fallen out of top 2, but whatever

LeBron will try everything possible to make sure Simmons ends up in LA.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

Draft Simmons or Ingram as the franchise player, trade some of their young guys for established players
