Hopefully the likely semifinal match is as good as this.

Yeah if the U.S. keeps sending out their Semi-A team maybe.

2020 team will probably be much better than this team.

They need players that play both side of the court.

Most people thought that's what this team was given all the great individual defenders. It's not really about talent though, it's about effort on the defensive end. Some of these elite defenders have gotten it in their head that they can take a night off just because of the elite offensive talent to possibly bail them out like what happened today. It's not always going to work though, a team playing their hearts out can beat them if they play lackadaisical like this the same way Australia came out today and played their hearts out.

This is the most fun I've had watching a basketball game in quite some time!

Serious respect to the Boomers! Always fun to watch FIBA Melo as well.

The U.S. will hopefully realize that there are teams who are not just going to go away because of the fact that they are NBA players. Loved this performance from Australia!

This game pretty much disproved that 'where is the international talent' thread. Give them a shot in the big leagues and they show up. You got to wonder, is someone like Delly being underappreciated in the NBA?

They don't need to be though. They have at least 4 guys that can take over a game when it gets tight. Having just 2 should be enough. It's really not about the personnel at all.

Embarrassing defensive effort, far too many basic mistakes that allowed Australia to stay in the game.

Offensively, we can play good team basketball, but too often enjoy quick triggers and poor shots after just one pass.

This game also proved that if the U.S. doesn't try that they can get beat and that just "showing up" isn't enough no matter how much the talent discrepancy is between the U.S. and any other team.

Hell of an effort by Aussie, this should be a huge confidence booster going forward.

Andrej Lemanis should get a coaching job in NBA! He's got Australia punching well above their weight all tournament!

not made to play 80 games against top notch athletes playing at an inflated pace due to the rules in place. He´s a very good basketball player and a decent-good NBA player.
