Watched the Pelicans and Nuggets at Denver tonight on tv. Pelicans looking great and Nuggets behind Jokic hang in and force OT to win.

However before it went into OT I was thinking since McCollum joined the Pels they’re re-energized and playing well beating the Suns, Lakers, Kings, and Jazz before tonight’s game. Zion is back in NO working to come back.

Amazing how much the acquisition of McCollum will help them in trying to stabilize the franchise and keep them somewhat relevant going forward building around McCollum, Ingram, and Zion.

Game I watched before this was even more interesting as I saw the 4th quarter of the Grizzlies at the Rockets. Rockets beat them ending a big losing streak.

Wow do the Rockets have some nice young talent in Wood, Green, Porter Jr., Sengun, Garuba, Matthews, Tate, and Christopher. Wood is closest thing to a veteran besides Gordon and Wall. Not the best at defense but they have some really good scoring potential.

Will be interesting to see how the Rockets, Thunder, Pistons, and Magic can progress with their youth rebuilding next season.

Victor Oladipo scored 11 points, a rebound, 4 assists on 4-7 shooting 2-3 from 3 in 15 minutes. A nice welcome output for his return from injury. He’s got a month to ramp up and he’ll be just another option for the Heat in the playoffs.

Brooklyn fan here that coming with a question.

Guys we had some recent trade that netted us shooters which made Joe Harris redundant. Knowing your guard situation wondering..what it'll take to fetch Joe for Turner trade.

Y'all know Joe will fetch a lot on open market. Guy who can shoot over 40% from 3, can put it on the floor and play solid D.

My question is, which 3rd team can make it work?

Hard to say. We probably have interest in holding onto Turner. Jalen Smith is unlikely to return, and Isaiah Jackson can guard 4 and 5 pretty well. That leaves just Goga other than Turner.

Now, if you find a 3rd team, it gets tough. Joe may not have Turner value now that he’s on a bigger and longer contract. What is Brooklyn willing to add to that to make up that value? And what team is going to be that 3rd, and pay Turner value, but get Joe Harris instead?

Otherwise, we’re probably always looking for 3/4’s. We’re looking for key starters type pieces, not depth pieces or deep project youngsters. I guess really good draft picks could be helpful, too. But we also probably could just use a Turner himself now that we moved Sabonis.

To be fair, it was mostly a huge amount of non calls. He got walloped (for this era, so to speak) and rarely got calls when he was here.

I was watching this game when he got tossed. A guard drove to the bucket and Domas put his hand on the guards butt while he was on his decent and pushed him a bit and the guard slid straight into the referee almost taking him out under the basket. Ref immediately called a foul which was correct as it was a silly foul which the player made look a bit more forceful. Domas questioned the call like usual and T. Then Domas got pissed yelling in the face of the ref that was coming towards him probably knowing he would get tossed. I guess he bumped the ref IDK as Domas stepped into his path to the scorer’s table.

Paul George returned tonight from injury with a beast game. 33pts, 10-20 shooting and 6 assists. Huge win for the LAC over the Jazz on tnt.

Just wondering what are you guys thoughts on Turner - Are you all looking to keep him or trade him? I'm quite high on him and his been linked to Lakers in the past I believe? What's his value at this point?? Don't know about his contract or injury history though at this point.

I just don’t know that LA has the ammo to get either of a Turner or Brogdon, no matter how much they might want either.

Nice ... I'm not a huge fan of AD ... mostly because he barely plays... I would throw AD/THT and even 2027 pic for Turner, but not sure about contracts on all that etc - I just hope Lakers don't want to keep AD long-term, great player and top 5-10 when healthy, the probs is staying healthy.

But in saying that, I doubt Lakers willing to give up on AD just yet- I'm not fan of him/bron/klutch etc. I'm just hoping La go for a full rebuild this year, but doubt it.

Are any of you watching random games of the playoffs ? I’m so tired of a few parts of the NBA game as it currently is.

Of course the take foul needs to go away or be penalized more severely to eliminate the ease of stopping the fast break to let your team get back into defensive position and killing momentum plays.

I don’t like flagrant 1 and 2. I like flagrant foul = ejection. I’ve always thought that 3 referees should be able to determine a true flagrant action by sight. Play will become more physical like it used to be but ejection will again point out a few dirty plays and players.

I’m sick of the rip through move being used by certain players to create a cheap foul trip to the free throw line.

Something more needs to be done on 3 point attempt fouls as still too much manipulation by players jumping into the defensive player closing their landing space drawing the foul. Also too many times the shooter falls backwards or sideways to draw a foul on the 3 point attempt.

I’m done with players manipulating each foul by going to the floor then faking agonizing like they were fouled dirty, hard, or flagrantly to get a review. Very few instances are worthy of play stoppage for a serious injury.

I’m tired of repeatedly stopping play to review this and that. Players wave that finger and say review this review that. Too much micromanaging the refs calls. I’m sorry give the game back to the refs and let them decide if something needs reviewed.

I understand that today’s athletes play faster than previous decades and minor calls can be easily missed. So what. Other pro sports have missed calls. Stop it ! Play on.

A lot of rules need to be reshaped to let the game get its flow back so we can watch athletes make amazing shots, plays, and defensive stands without excessive interruptions of gamesmanship.

Gamesmanship by players drawing fouls sucks. Play basketball not strategical play by play chess.

Watching the playoffs James Harden is not the dangerous scoring threat player that we remember. In this category I include Gordon Hayward, John Wall, and Westbrook. I hope the Pacers are better at assessing the decline of yesterday’s stars. I’m sure it’s tough to pass up aging stars however you have to get them at a very discounted salary.

I’d hope that Wall/Westbrook would be viewed as bad contracts to which we could net assets for taking on. Hayward should be viewed somewhat similarly, but despite his health, he’s still a pretty good player and impacts winning in a very positive manner.
