He's tried being cute all series and it's failed him.

If he doesn't get Curry(with KD) in more pick and roll action, he should be ashamed of himself. He's literally throwing this series away with how he's coaching the offense and his horrific rotations.

Durant simply doesn't screen well. It'll just get switched seamlessly.

Now Curry is actually a good screener. So maybe they can make Durant the ballhandler. Though Durant on-ball action hasn't been much of a cure for anything in this series.

Houston is just the better team. It's not that complicated. They deserve their respect.

No Iggy. Which means Kerr will overplay Looney again.

And I doubt he gets Curry in PnR action.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I'll be shocked if the Warriors win tonight.

Well believe it. It barely takes common sense to see that.

Kind of reminds me of mavericks vs heat 2010, warriors much more talented but rockets playing with heart and grit, the warriors have shown they can bully teams around but have yet to really show they can win when the going gets tough.

Not trying to attack you, but how has he been 'cute'? I think the gameplan has been fairly straightforward and devolved into iso-ball often, which isn't 'cute,' moreso fighting fire with fire. What's your recommendation here?

He needs to get Curry in more PnR actions and his rotations have to be better.

He overplayed Looney far too much in game 4 when he was offering nothing. He seems to stuck in his way to make some obvious changes.

If something isn't working, make the change. Make the adjustment.

He's a good coach, but the playoffs are a different animal and IMO he has coached poorly in them overall since his 1st title.

During the 2015 finals, the Cavs were in control and Kerr changes the series by inserting Iggy into the starting line-up. He went away from the routine and won the series. He keeps sticking to it now and it's failing.

The Rockets are a great team, but the Warriors losing to them with how talented they are would be a huge embarrassing blemish on Kerr again.

Yeh, Curry as the primary in a PnR for sure needs to happen more. He's not getting separation off ball. So that action turns into an iso anyway. Re: Looney, I really am at a loss for what you do there. Play Shaun more I guess, but our starters were already 40+ minutes each last game - do you want them to play even more, then throw an extra 27 minutes onto Shaun's workload?

One of Looney/Bell/Young will need to play big minutes with iguodala out. It's just realistic to say we can't avoid that happening.

Also to the point of him being inflexible, he's changed his starting lineup in every series this playoffs IIRC. He also went from an iso-heavy gameplan in 1+2 to a more fluid system in game 3. He coached the last few minutes last game poorly, yes, but you're cherry picking if you're trying to say he's been bad in the playoffs.

Also, it would be v disappointing if we lost this series, but 'huge embarrassing blemish on Kerr' is a bit rich. This is the Rockets, not the Kings. If they beat us they probably win a title. Losing a 3-1 lead is hugely embarrassing, but losing a tight series to one of the best constructed teams of the past decade? Not as much.

I mean there’s a thread about Kerr being fired, it’s a 2-2 series, a lot of overreactions.

More like awesome work by Kerr to get brownie points with his players

But honestly, I really dont give 2 craps about that stuff. To steal from another poster, sports are an entertainment business. They don't play the national anthem before Movies and concerts, do we really need it before a game?
