Another brilliant pass at 1:04 he shows the flashes of brilliance with the stuff like that.

He was 0/8 from 3 and -15 in 28 mins in that game but yeah brilliance I guess...

No one is saying he is a good player right now, he isn't. It's just that he shows stuff that is very, very rare at that size, and brings the occasional "wow, if he ever puts it together" game every once in a while.

i think Poku is intriguing, but this is a lot of fuss about a dude shooting 38% from the field and 28% from 3, who happens to be a 7 footer that can barely get to the line ONCE a game lol

peripheral skills are all intriguing, ancillary skills are all MIA right now.

Yeah, the book isn't written on Poku yet but it's discouraging that the 2nd year leap hasn't come yet. For someone starting at such a low point you're kind of betting on exponential growth. He's still a teenager though so there's hope.

For someone who watched more Thunder games - does he look improved at all from last year?

Others will know better, but I have seen some maturity in his decision making and defense. Sadly the more judicious (though still a little wild) offensive mindset has reduced his flashes. But the court vision is still there, and the ball handling is still there.

Nobody called him being this bad either. Giannis in his second season was much MUCH better player and had more than double Pokusevski's playing time.

As a GSW fan, I knew nothing about him. but after they played a few games ago, I thought...who is this kid? has tons of skill, court awareness and the body of a sophmore in high school. I think his potential will only be realized in the right system. But I can see lots of potential.

Not potential top 10 all time good like the current pace he’s on, but Giannis was on a lot of peoples radar early on.

He's flashing some real NBA skills the way guys like Bruno and Sekou never did, but he's still not a good player yet, and it's not clear if he can be. But he does some really exciting things sometimes.

I have a feeling being the media darling last year got to his head over the summer.
Seems like Giddey is further along in terms of everything and he's only played 9 games
Wouldnt be suprised if Poku's next stop is Europe (again) after his rookie contract is up. NBA teams have so much patience to wait around 5 years for a player to develop.

Its the "within' the next ten years" part that has me shaking my head. That's not a hot take if you have to add something like that to a thread title

This is about right. You can see the possibility, but hard to know if he'll get there.

I still give him this year and next. Next year will be the make/break year for Poku I think. Easy to forget how young he is. I believe he's not even 20 yet.

This might become the worst aged player thread ever
This kid got some burn against us and was the worsr player on the floor by a **** mile. There's a far better chance he's out of the league within 10 years than sniffing an all-star selection let alone **** Mvp lmaooooo

Josh Giddey is a baller tho that kid is a nice prospect. Poku is a can

Can't believe you blew your load, bumping this thread after just a single year. This was a 10-year prediction! Hold it in until at LEAST year 6, c'MON!
