Re: Knicks - Celtics PG: Do we need Woody back?
we're only 2.5 games out of the 9th worst record (20.2% at top 4) and 4.5 games back of 8th worst (26.2%)
9th is probably the best we can get to, but theoretically, 8th is possible. w/ the 6th toughest SOS if they keep losing at a similar rate, could happen
games against Toronto (2x), New Orleans (2x), Chicago, and San Antonio will be the most important b/c those are the teams projected to win around the same # of games

I’ve been the one of the more anti-tank posters around here but I endorse this message.
We’ve already established a culture and improved our reputation, I wouldn’t be devastated if we slipped back into the lottery

I don’t trust the guy.
I think Randle has done enough this year to earn the benefit of the doubt after a few bad games, especially the way Thibs has ran him into the ground
Y’all are unreal

Agreed, I think the culture has been set for the most part. in seasons past, games would be over by the 3rd Q. this season, just about every game is fought to the end

Still wondering what Elf did tonight to get subbed back into the game late in the 4th. I used to joke about Thibs being a stubborn lunatic, I don't joke about it anymore. I don't joke about anything anymore actually. It's all just darkness.

play him with IQ more for more spacing instead of that cancer elf
Except IQ shooting like 35% the last 20 games kind of messing up that plan.

I have no faith though. They'll end up keeping Randle and pretending he's a player he really is not.
Knox is probably done here. It’s year 3 and he’s getting DNPs. I actually thought he showed a couple flashes as he upped his fg% and was shooting 41% from 3 and playing a bit smarter but whatever. this is a win now vet heavy playoff team I guess. Good luck to him and Frank in future endeavors[/quote
Sixers fan here
I wanted us to trade for Knox prior to the deadline as he’s obviously on the outer at the Knicks and wouldn’t be too expensive
From what I have seen, the guy has got some talent and it just seems like a complete waste to not play him at all
How is he supposed to improve if all he gets is a couple of minutes of garbage time every few games?
Seems very strange to me
He needs a change of scenery. The kid can shoot.

Imagine us picking 5th or 6th ... I'd love it.

That's not how it works, this is not dating, it doesn't have to be consensual. If you want to trade someone for a top 10 pick, you trade him.

After the package Vuc got I would say it was close to possible. At least a top 15 pick imo

Should've stuck to your guns. Teams who make the lottery have established nothing. The players you thought turned a corner are empty stat players and the youth you thought you built up weren't that impactful. In fact in our case it proves that the Knicks are choke artists who let what was one a 4rth seed slip away but sitting on thier hands. I could see it we went into the allstar break or trade deadline at the 9th seed. We opted to allow things to end up this way. And what's worse is its already too late for tanking. Knicks should've been more committed to either goal but how many times have you seen this.
-the losing streak to ruin a good playoff win
-the end of season mini-3 game win streak at the end of a season were trending for a top 5 pick
Win at something. Pick a goal and win at it. SMH

Re: Knicks - Celtics PG: Do we need Woody back?
this team is slipping because randle is not healthy and Barrett can not do everything. We need a starting PG in the worst way. I can see them making a move and over paying for a starting pg in the off season I just hope it is the correct PG not overaged or overpaid
Quote from ESPN’s Bill Simmons posted on Twitter “28 FT’s to 5. I don’t watch rigged NBA games, I’m switching to hockey”

Yup just getting to 9 would only require us moving up 4 slots on lottery night to get into the top 5. We saw it happen with the Pelicans. We really just want to be in the top 5 lol

Re: Knicks - Celtics PG: Do we need Woody back?
- Team that overachieves by playing harder/tougher D than most do in the regular season.
- Thibs Effect wearing down Randle.
- We start Elfrid Payton, Reggie Bullock, and Nerlens Noel.
- No Mitch.
- Tough stretch to end the season.
The lottery is still very much in play, even with the play-in tournament, and I'm all for it. I'd say it's a coinflip if CHI passes us or not.
