The promise is likely from a team that will see him drop. Why would HOU promise him if he's likely going to be there for them at 2?

It's 100% Cleveland. If Mobley goes to HOU, Cleveland is 100% taking Green. Makes total sense its them.

If I were any of the top prospects, I’d do everything it takes that I don’t end up in Cleveland. If I have the chance to live in Houston or Toronto, I’d be so pissed to end up in Ohio

If houston promises he can stop doing workouts for other teams. If its true its likely green turned down the cavs workout thus the cavs guy getting a scoop.

Theres no upside to that for HOU. Jalen is only working out for Detroit, HOU, Cleveland and maybe Toronto. If a team trades for #1, they are taking Cade, thus why HOU giving him a promise makes no sense.

This has Cleveland written all over it.

If HOU did this, then as you said Green would cancel his CLE workout, which would show HOU's hand. Why would they want that?

There is absolutely upside for houston pulling the plug on jalen working out for other teams. Last thing you want is jalen going to detroit and wowing them. Especially since they're apparently not 100% committed to taking cade yet. Houston loves their scoring wings maybe they have jalen ranked higher than cade on their board. Either way i don't believe jalen accepts a cleveland promise when he has a good shot of landing in houston

This doesnt make any sense.

Detroit has the number one pick. Theres nothing HOU can do about that. Jalen will workout for them no matter if they have a promise from Hou or Cle.

Theres no accepting promises. If CLE promised him, that just means he's not going any lower than 3. If the promise is from HOU and he cancels his Cle workout, then everyone will know HOU is taking him. They dont want that.

Which is why this promise is from Cleveland who are in desperate need of a wing and promising Green has no blow back.

And this is coming from someone who wants HOU to take Green so we get Mobley. I just dont see the logic in HOU doing that, they are in position already.

I'm not using highlights, I'm watching his full games. There's 13 on that channel. I don't think he's similar at all to Roy.

The Roy comparison has always been silly to me. But like others said, he's probably the best pick at 4, i think Kuminga is the only other one you would consider at that spot.
