I mean they probably could. They just proved it last year that they can win with inferior talent. They aren't winning it all with that roster though. Which should be the goal for them at this point you would think. Not just winning the east.

Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Lillard is traded to the Raptors tomorrow. Just a feeling. Too much smoke and Miami backtracking

Does make some sense in light of the idea “when the actual trade offer is reported it’s ancient history.”

Anyways Toronto should just swing for the fences and try to land Lillard and Harden.

On the Miami posts above, I obviously waay underestimated them going into the post season last year (to say the least). Still they were one quarter from being bounced out of the play in and barely were above .500, and had their whole season turned around by a couple of scrubs scoring like vintage Jordan/Pippen. Expecting that to happen routinely isn’t really a good success strategy.

In other words, there is a definite road to a conference finals if a team like Toronto wanted to really shoot their wad.

Allegedly includes other players from the heat but no details. And for those that are curious, lowry and Robinson should not count as players of positive value

Utter BS, it took an injury to giannis to roll the bucks and it took an awful series from us to get to the finals. Playing the knicks 2nd round, lucky too I guess

Lakers and Heat are accustomed of getting what they want without giving up a whole lot.

Miami can't field a offer that won't gut their championship roster.

It boggles my mind that some folks are still interested in trading for Dame when we've had 2 unsuccessful stints with similar players (Kyrie, Kemba).

To be fair the reason why Kemba didn't work was his knees were shot. Kyrie didn't work because, well, Kyrie. These things are not the same.

He'll be a Heat soon and they'll be the overwhelming favorite. But, things happen

Is NBA Central owned by Riley or something?

If not for injuries and poor play against them they wouldnt have made it the last couple of seasons

In fact their "success" the last 3 years was as much to do with other teams' failures

C'mon man, Detroit would never do that trade. Duren is their center of the future. They just drafted him in the lottery and he had a very good rookie year and is only gonna get better since he's the youngest 2nd year player in the league.

Orlando wouldn't do that either. They're looking to move Anthony - not Suggs.

And Boston gets worse with that 2nd trade too. Isaac is never healthy and right now, this season Brogdon is better than Suggs.
Nothing wrong with having a different opinion - as long as it's done respectfully. It'd be lame if we all agreed on everything :)

Duren is the center of the future? That why they resigned Isaac and also traded for Wiseman?

And if Isaac is healthy the combo of isaac and suggs is better than Brogdon, but because of injury concerns, that is why Orlando pays us in suggs as opposed to Anthony.
