Bodega Kat is really Basura Kat

he's the worst starting defensive center in the league by far. and the knicks decided to go all in on him.

They haven’t gone all in yet. We still have Mitch and can move KAT to the 4 for parts of the game.

KaT/Mitch and Precious/KAT and may a few minutes of Pacome/Mitch could be interesting and highly effect front court duos all season. Huk can be part of that rotation too.

Trade Sims for a future 2nd
Matthew 6:5
Luke 15:3-7

It's because the Celtics had Horford on Hart and Jrue on Kat, so when you call for the pick from Kat you end up with Jrue on Brunson. They need Hart to hit threes at a rate he did in the playoffs or else teams can get funky with how they guard him, the Celtics in particular are built to contain big picks for guards.

Against other teams we'll be able to spam it, against them though there needs to be more shooting / scoring from Hart.

Then shouldn't kat go straight to the rim and call for the ball. Punish em for putting a guard on our C. Why rely on Hart to hit 3s in that scenario.

That's what they want, because Jrue will provide enough resistance for Horford (KP) to cheat off Hart and make you take a tougher shot than expected. That's what they were doing to Embiid last season, they'd actually guard him with Jrue at times.

They did the same to Randle too, KP was helping off Mitch a lot.

If we want to beat the Celtics the coaching staff needs to look at what the Heat have done vs them in the past and what the Pacers did last playoffs. The Pacers games were closer than they had any business being.

Got damn jrue is a beast.

That's brilliant defense. It forces our worst offensive player to take the shot. So what's the answer to this. You don't want the defense to dictate who shoots? Go away from kat. Get into the offense quicker. Bench jHart for deuce.

That's fair. Obviously it is what it is so no reason to dwell but I really wish we could have just ran it back and improved on the margins. I get why ihart left and to an extent why the trades for bridges and then Kat happened. But there's definitely a feeling of what if they just stayed healthy last year and then ran it back this year.

You have to get their big into rotation, so everybody on the court has to be able to shoot and attack closeouts. If theres no weak shooter to put KP/Horford on that means they actually have to check someone. If they guard Hart with a big he has to rebound and push in transition pretty much anytime he gets it.

The Nuggets had their number last year too, KP/Horford could not guard Jokic and they could not put Jrue on him either.

Jericho Sims did some good things but he is really scared play perimeter defense. Did Thibs instill him that he will whip his arse if he lets anyone drive past him or something? KAT, Sims, Bridges were playing drop coverage or something.. WTF

also want people to pay very close attention to brunson this season. randle was the main thing keeping him in check last season. expect to see a ton of pounding air out of the ball, heroics, and bad bad shots in the face of adversity

so many people are going to eat their words about randle
