taxes you based on your domicile, not where you work. I am aware that there are special jock taxes that tax you based on where you play, but I think those are in addition to normal personal income tax and not in leau of.

Trying to understand the whole Melo/Lebron relationship.

Melo could take a max offer today from HOU, NY, LAL, or a near max from CHI. All of those teams would sign Lebron first if they could. Even CLE would likely take Melo if LBJ won't commit.

So by waiting for Lebron, Melo loses his power of first pick and gives Lebron the choice. Could cost Melo a title.

Only theory that makes sense is Melo wants to play with Lebron. So just like Bosh he is willing to gamble that Bron doesn't take the landing spot that he would want.

If he can't play with Lebron then what comes next? Why write off CHI so early. If CHI is out that must mean no chance in hell for CLE.

So its NYK, LAL with Lebron, maybe HOU with Lebron and Dwight if they S&T Harden for Melo , or MIA with Lebron if Bosh leaves? Are these the options left?

Why did realgm start tweeting his post? That's pretty out of line and irresponsible... 1. What if it's a hoax? 2. What if it's not and we're getting good info you scare him off.. And if He wanted it on twitter he would of put it there

After a quick wikipedia reading of "jock taxes," the questions are 1) how many NBA jurisdictions levy the tax and 2) does New York give a credit/deduction for the payment of those taxes.

RealGM asked Carl to verify himself as a source. They confirmed him to be someone working alongside with Phil Jackson and Steve Mills.
