Doug’s an old broken clock. There will be no need to backtrack or apologize if by chance he happens to be right.

And yes we need CoJo - He ended last season with the 5th best Defensive Rating of all guards last season with at least 15gp and 15mpg.
Just let Pangos remain the lead PG.

No if CoJo ends up not coming it’s not bc he was never gonna come but likely his team was preventing him at the last minute. I don’t think Nurse would lie to Australian media when he said he just spoke with Corey in the morning and he told him his flight to China was already booked. Doug Smith said he source is from the NBA (maybe Roy Rana of the Kings?) and Nurse’s source was straight from Cojo’s mouth

Isn't it already past the deadline with it being Aug. 25th right now in Beijing? The Canadian roster on the FIBA website has not been updated from weeks ago.

It seems to be a loose deadline. It is insanely frustrating how little media coverage this team is getting. I would blame the media, but I think the blame should be shared with Canada Basketball. They seem very tight lipped. There is zero coming from the team. Where is their PR staff? What are they doing days before a world championship?
Where are the updates on Nembhard, Heslip, Keane or CoJo?

Thanks. This Canadian Press article echoes the Ewing tweet.

https://www.cbc.ca/sports/basketball/canada-basketball-finally-gets-good-news-with-reinforcements-on-the-way-1.5259164

Brady Heslip, Andrew Nembhard and Kaza Kajami-Keane participated in practice on Saturday — good news for Canada's basketball team ahead of the FIBA World Cup.

Nembhard injured his knee in Canada's 103-100 overtime win over New Zealand in an exhibition game on Wednesday, while Kajami-Keane suffered an ankle injury against New Zealand on Tuesday (a 122-88 win).

Heslip joined the team late in Australia, and could play his first game Down Under on Monday when the Canadians take on the United States in their last exhibition game before the World Cup tips off next week.

Canada Basketball is expected to update the trio's status for the U.S. game on Sunday.

Still silence from the cojo team. I'm still much more inclined to believe nurse saying what cojo himself has told him rather than Doug Smith's "sources" who have never once fed him a break. But seems most likely situation is he wants to play but is facing heavy pressure not to.

And I honestly think if every sacremento king pulls out of the tournament except the one player who plays for blade vlade divac's home country that it needs to be looked at closely.

The actual tourney or the USA game ?

DAZN is a streaming site that has the rights to the tourney. I think you get the 1st month free when you sign up. Or atleast you did before.

You can probably find free streams of it if you look around hard enough too

Twitch is free and no signup is requested - at least, for these exhibition games as of my experience

Great, thanks for the heads up! Wasn't worth staying up to 2:30 if there was no chance I could actually watch it lol.
