Yeah, but in general JV just doesn't go up with much "security". It's hard to explain but it seems like he is very prone to being blocked. He doesn't have lift and he doesn't have those natural finishing instincts that some guys have around the rim.
He has decent touch and good size but when it comes down to 1v1 finishing when he has a head start over the defender he simply is not reliable.

I'd say that never used to be a problem until he bulked up quite a lot. Lost a lot of his natural mobility and lift.
