Warriors just aren't a FA destination.

We have 10 players somewhat deserving of minutes that are either high draft picks and/or familiar with our system:

Curry
Klay
Wiggins
Dray
Looney
Poole
Moody
Kuminga
JTA
Wiseman

And we also have Nico and Lee.. meaning there’s no clear job for anyone, so even ring chasing vets aren’t super inclined to be chased by a rookie/soph, effectively able to lose their job with no fault on their part

We’re not getting ring chasers because we aren’t built for that. We need a big and the rest can be filled with minimum players. No coronary situations necessary

He watched a Moses Moody draft profile and knew he wasnt getting any minutes here. Its a good signing for him. Doubt anyone gives him big money next year even with a good year, but opportunity to get significant minutes on a title contender is not something to sneeze at.

Still holding out for OPJ/Gay, but increasingly thinking the best play for the TPMLE is Robin Lopez.

And unlike with OPJ/Gay, they can sell Lopez on a starting gig.

The best play for the TPMLE is Lopez even with those 2 on the board, but neither is coming. OPJ is not going to like being barely in front of Moody/Kuminga, who the Warriors have significant investments in, and Gay catches a piece of that (Kuminga) but also really is only a PF these days, so his value to us is lesser.

RoLo's the best target available, if he wants the TPMLE. I think he can do better based on the market

Our whole draft process was linked to Bouknight, Moody, Mitchell, and other guards/wings.. pretty sure Bazemore saw the writing on the wall there. We were looking to upgrade from him and we have, and like the OPJ thing, he's not gonna enjoy looking over his shoulder at the big investment the W's just made.

Get a C and Iguodala, if you can do both, and that's a success. Finding a small guard is what the GLeague is basically for
