Lots of shady stuff in this game.

The Gordon put back dunk was a clear foul on KD too.
Should have been an and-1.
Not sure if superstar calls (and no calls) are shady though. Pretty par for the course for awhile now.

But Booker and Durant were getting all kind of calls in their favor. Its not the secret or surprise who the League wants in the next round.

While having an historic offensive output the last two games, Booker has shot 8 FTs. And two of those were after an intentional foul.

He doesn’t get the superstar treatment from refs.

Jokic had 13 FTs last night, including several soft/questionable calls.

Kiszla: Nikola Jokic and Suns owner tussle. A suspension is in order. Mat Ishbia should be sat in a corner until he learns how to behave at playoff game.

The Suns owner inserted himself into the fray after Jokic blocked a shot and the ball bounced off Phoenix guard Josh Okogie and into the hands of Ishbia, who bounced up from his seat along the baseline.

...

He consulted with Thomas before they exited through a door together, a notorious Bad Boy from the Pistons’ glory years and 43-year-old spoiled brat who thinks he’s enough part of the game to bait Jokic into a technical foul.

If anybody deserves punishment from the NBA in this silly tussle between the Nuggets center and the Suns owner, it’s Ishbia, the petulant child who started it all.

[Note: The writer thinks Ishbia should be suspended, not Jokic]

A "non story" until Jokic gets suspended

i highly doubt he gets suspended. If he does, it will be the clearest sign of all time that the league wants the Suns to win this series because the Nuggets aren't a ratings draw.

The only reason he's on the floor is for boards because Joker can't rebound. Otherwise he ain't giving nothing on defense, nothing on offense. Just being a liability overall for a guy earning $100+m. He's the real joker on that team.

I don't think it's that Jokic can't rebound, the Suns weren't missing so there weren't as many rebounds to grab. Frankly, the Nuggets were scoring well too so there weren't many offensive rebounds either.

MPJ's job is to hit open (and semi contested) shots. He's supposed to be a matchup advantage due to his size and shot making ability but is he's not hitting shots, he's not providing much else. Idk who else the Nuggets can go to tho. MPJ still has value has a floor spacer but he needs to just play better.

I'm cheering for the Nuggets but there was nothing fishy with the refs this series. Booker has been unbelievable, full stop. Nothing else to say about that.

People have gotten spoiled by guys like Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis being considered "2nd options". Murray is pretty good as a #2, asking him to be as good as Kevin Durant is unrealistic. Denver is supposed to win on the strength of their depth, not the strength of their #2.

If we’re going by their play this series, or this year’s entire playoffs to this point, there should be no gap between Jokic and Booker.

Jokic is the sole superstar on his team, Phoenix have two, I don't know what is the point of your argument. Booker without Durant would have been on the fishing trip right now.

Murray's problem is his low BBIQ. For everything he does well, he has almost as many boneheaded plays that negate them. But, as you said, if he wasn't like that, he would be a 1st option.

It’s the same thing with Durant and Curry. One being there makes the life sooooooo much easier for the other one that they look like the best player in the nba.

Booker has scored 331 points this playoffs in 9 games. That’s the most in 9 games since MJ in 1990. Booker has done that with a 70% true shooting percentage. For a 6’5 guard.

That’s simply insane.

Teams will always adapt and adjust accordingly. When everybody is overly committed to defending 3’s, offenses will start to use midrange shots.

Not every team can do this tho. Booker and KD are among the best tough shot makers in the league, most teams don't have 2 guys capable of creating their own shots at this level.

in past playoffs, Devin Booker would wilt if you put very physical defender on him. Do the Nuggets have such a defender? I wonder if Booker has improved to be able to handle physicality, or if he would still fail in such a situation.

They only soft calls were called for Durant and Booker. Actually Jokic should have had more free throws in the game, he was fouled on the third points he made last night. The refs were clearly propping the Suns, but hey you are drinking that Suns kool aid, can't argue with ignorant person.

Settle down compadre, not everyone is going to agree with your whiney claim about the Nuggets being picked on by the league.
