rondo doesnt play like him. the last time he played like allstar was 3-4 years ago.
his shooting still sucks more importantly he cant make free throws now and he avoids to get the foul line.
he's not efficient, he cant space the flooor. his defense was good 3-4 years ago now its not better than galloway.
he's not focused. yesterdays game was another example. i mean he loses his spot to barea.

he'll get 8-10m from someone but we shouldnt get him. we shouldnt waste our cap space with him.

i dont want g.monroe either but if we can get him for 7m per year then it would be good, he'll contribute.
RONDO? no. he makes dallas worser. after rondo even celtics got better.
he doesnt fit triangle at all. and right now he has lowest value of his career. just avoid..
**
rondo needs to get faster like old days. he must finish his layups, drives.
he must make Free throws at least %75. not like %40. he must go to FT line 7-8 per game. if he cant manage these he wont be a starter pg in the league anymore.

This all depends on where we draft. Let's say we get the second pick for this fantasy. I'm going to steep this in reality. We will not get a restricted FA. Let that go.

Greg Monroe/Okafor/Smith
Amir Johnson/Brandon Bass/ Thomas
Anthony/Early/Asdfghjkl
Danny Green/Hardaway/Shved
Calderon/Galloway/Steve Blake

That looks like a team Phil would put together. I don't like it though...

How can we afford Moose, Amir, Bass and Green? We'd be lucky to get 3 of those guys...but I like that team!

Please let that not be the players we tanked all year to get.

This is going to get locked up but anyway

Monroe/Bynum/Aldrich
Towns/Bargnani/Almunson
Anthony/Harris/Early
Green/Thanasis/Ledo
Galloway/Shved/A. Harrison

Trade Calderon and Hardaway for cap space and a second round pick for Harrison.

Max if need be but see if Monroe will take slightly under max so we can get Green and Harris. Deals might be 2 years second being player options.
Take flier on Bynum who should be ready after taking a year off to give 16 to 20 minutes as a backup. He also knows the system well.

Minimum deals to Almunson Shved and Bargnani to prove they belong and can contribute to a winner.

Towns
Monroe
Melo
Carrol
Galloway
J.R. Smith's last-second whiff left the Knicks with a sixth straight loss. But J.R. would do it again. "I think we went with the best shot," he said.

Just because you can hit a shot doesnt mean you are a power foward.

If Rondo were willing to sign a 3yr/$21 million deal, are you telling me that's not something you'd at least entertain?

I don't think he's as finished as some think, I believe it's more a lack of effort, fit, and bruised ego that's making Rondo revert to the headcase we all know he can be. His value is the lowest it has ever been, but a motivated and engaged Rondo is still a great player.

Phil is a master at manipulation, and there is a mutual respect from both Rondo and Phil/Fisher. They have a history together. I could see Rondo trusted with the freedom on offense he needs to succeed, while making Fisher's job a little easier.

If we believe we can create the right situation for Rondo, he is worth the risk, especially on such a cheap deal. It would allow us to bring in 2 other good role players with the remaining $18 million.

If we draft Okafor, I have ZERO issues with taking a chance on Rondo to find both Jah and Melo easy buckets.

LaMarcus vs. Stat? Their games couldn't be more different.

LaMarcus is a much better passer than Amare ever was. He's not moving the ball right now because the team is depleted (Wes  and Afflalo out, Lillard hurting and playing like ass) but he can be a part of a crisp offense on plays where he's NOT the end option. And he's a better defender by a wide margin. He's a system player.

Stat was a power player. And faster. He commanded more double teams. Got to the rim. Got to the line. He's the ultimate finisher.

Right now, Aldridge is having to play like Stat and that's part of why the Blazers are cooked this year.

Would be better to spend on Monta Ellis.

Ellis is an interesting option. Would sign.

I'm also hoping Wade opts out. The more the merrier on this market. Also, **** Riley.

I'd love Wade on a 1-2 year rental to bridge the gap between Melo and whoever we draft to take over. He was balling at the end of this season. He's still got something left.

On another note, Rondo has totally played himself out of a max. However, if like swisscheese said, his FA suitors run dry and he wants something like 3/21 or a 1 year 8 million "show me" kind of deal you have to absolutely entertain that idea. He's been too good in the past to totally give up on for that kind of value.
