They've already begun negotiations to renew with CBS

I'm not confident that NBC, ABC, or even Fox wouldn't screw it up equally as badly. NBC would still have the football issue on Sundays. I wouldn't even mind seeing someone like VS get it, although everyone would lose in that situation as ratings would go down.

I tried to suppress that; I was livid when they did that to DelPo.

Yes, it amazes me that they'll spend more time analyzing a first round match after the fact than they will on the final.

I hope Turner tries to get in there. Turner's got NBA, MLB, NASCAR, PGA and soon NCAA tournament, they've become pretty big players in sports broadcasting. Put the US Open on TNT to avoid baseball on TBS. TNT's original programming goes on a two-week hiatus and you don't interfere with the late night programming on TBS (Lopez, soon to be Conan). If you run into weather delays you can shift a match to the other channel if need be, or run matches simultaneously.

I also hope Turner gives the NHL a call. If there's any cable entity that can take a chunk out of ESPN, Turner's it.

30 For 30 Unmatched was great tonight for the most part, BTW. I could have lived without knowing where Chris Evert had sex for the first time with one of her husbands, but it was otherwise an interesting look and you got to hear straight from the sources.

Wow. That is pretty lame. Women's rankings get blasted enough, but this is ridiculous.
